Summary

The mission of the Monex Group in revamping its recruitment site was to "improve accessibility."

We created the site with the aim of conveying the company's casual atmosphere in mind, while keeping in mind that it would be accessible to anyone, with a plain structural design and a design that took into consideration color composition and contrast ratio.

The launched website won the Excellence Award in the Corporate Website category at the 11th Web Grand Prix and has become a benchmark for improving the accessibility of the multiple websites operated across the group.

Issue

The first step towards improved accessibility

Monex and Monosus have worked together for many years on creating landing pages and special sites, coding, etc. Although "improving accessibility" has been raised as an issue for the entire group's websites, there were many difficulties in raising the level of accessibility for the securities site, which has a huge number of pages.

The recruitment site that was to be renewed was relatively simple in structure, making it an easy situation to tackle something new. As we proceeded with the production, we set the mission of "improving accessibility." We aimed for it to become a flagship for improving accessibility within the group in the future.

Plan & Output

We won't give up on accessibility or our own unique style

We listened carefully to what the people in charge wanted to express on the site, and organized the concept of the new site and the points to keep from the old site. Even in an industry that tends to have a stiff impression, we actively used photographs and illustrations to convey the casual atmosphere of the entire company.

The illustrations were commissioned from No.0 Co., Ltd. member Suzuki Asako.

In order to prioritize accessibility, we have adopted a plain structure. The video on the homepage is designed to scroll, but we have provided a button to stop the video in consideration of those who find moving objects distracting.

With regards to design, we have implemented various measures based on advice from experts, such as adopting a contrast ratio between text and background and a color scheme suitable for people with color vision deficiencies.

Result

The flagship of the entire group

After the website was launched, we were able to see an increase in the number of visitors even before the peak recruiting season.

In addition, the site we created this time won the Excellence Award in the Corporate Site category at the 11th Web Grand Prix. It has been recognized as a good renewal example within the Monex Group, and is now being positioned as one of the "sites to aim for" in terms of both accessibility and design when creating new sites. This is a major opportunity to improve accessibility across the entire group in the future.
