MONOSUS

Collective-Ownership

At Monosus, we believe in giving our members the freedom to shape our rules and the kind of environment we work in. We're constantly exploring what makes us feel good and productive at work, and that helps us build the company together.

General meetings / All-member meetings

Once a month, we hold a "general meeting" and an "all-staff meeting" where all employees gather. The meeting lasts one and a half hours. The general meeting, where members from multiple work locations and with a variety of full-flex work styles gather together, is an important time for Monosus, and can be considered a "shared space" for everyone. The general meeting is planned and run by volunteer members. Anyone who is interested can participate. After the meeting, each participant submits a feedback sheet, and their opinions are incorporated and used to improve the next meeting.

Huddles

We want to create the systems and environment of the company we work for ourselves. This idea led to the idea of a meeting. For example, after COVID-19, when it came time to set the days for employees to come into the office in line with the current remote-based work style, one member raised the idea of "I want my opinion to be taken into account," and meetings were held regularly to create rules for coming into the office. The rules have now been established, and measures and equipment are being put in place.

Satellite offices

Monosus has expanded to multiple locations as a result of respecting the working and lifestyle choices of each member. Until now, the main bases were those created by the management, but in 2025, a new office is being created by employees who want to move to Kyoto. When establishing the office, they determined the establishment requirements and operational rules themselves, and are searching for properties on foot. The establishment requirements created in Kyoto are scheduled to be updated from time to time in the future.

Work styles

Following the creation of satellite offices, Monosus allows employees to choose their own working style, including full flextime and choice of work location. The freedom to choose the time and place to work according to each person's life, such as finding time outside of work to do something rewarding, raising children, or caring for the elderly, is valued. Of course, this is based on the premise that each employee's work role and team cooperation are taken into consideration.

Company trips

Starting in 2024, company trips were fully implemented, where each employee plans their own trip and invites others to join them. It's a system where employees think about what kind of trip they want to go on, invite others to join them, and if they meet certain rules, it will be recognized as a company trip. You can go with everyone, or go with a small group of people who want to go. So far, there have been large group tours of Atami Onsen, and small group trips to Korea.

Anniversary events

The company's anniversary, which was celebrated every year with a party, was transformed into a sports day when one employee wanted to hold it, and it has become a regular event. The members usually have different work styles and work in different places. The interesting thing about sports days is that even people who don't usually see each other's work naturally become friends as they work together.
