Hello. My name is Yamamoto, and I am the first Monosus Senryu champion, who came up with the most popular senryu poem at a senryu contest held in Monosus some time ago.
For the haiku contest, we tried to express the everyday life at the Suo-Oshima Satellite Office.
The vice president was in the garden mowing the grass when he noticed
I think most of you are meeting for the first time.
I was only at the head office for three days and then immediately flew off to the satellite office in Suo-Oshima, so I didn't have many opportunities to meet you all, but I hope that this article will let you know that there are people like this in Suo-Oshima.

Job: Coder
I like sweet things.
I joined Monosus as a coder with no experience.
Mr. Kanno, who has been teaching me my job since last fall, told me his impressions of me because I was writing an article about it, and he replied, "For better or worse, you have a strong mentality," so I was grateful to use his comment.
Thank you, Kanno-san.

Manufacturing and Agriculture
I've always loved making things and was interested in the issue of the aging agricultural population, so I thought that Monosus would be very interesting as it combined both web production (manufacturing) and agriculture, which are both things I wanted to do, and so I joined the company.
Previously, I worked in the construction industry (does anyone know what instrumentation is?), a completely different industry, setting up electrical equipment for air conditioners in office buildings and commercial facilities. I like drawing blueprints, but blueprints are just designs. Since the actual work is done by craftsmen, I felt frustrated that I couldn't be involved in the actual process of making things.
However, since the environment was extremely restrictive in terms of time and place, I wanted a job that was more flexible, and that's when I discovered programming.
Initially, I went to school to become a back-end engineer, but I found that front-end work, which has a major impact on the appearance, gave me a stronger sense of creating something and was a lot more enjoyable, so I aimed to move in the direction of web production and discovered Monosus.
Coding while feeling stressed
Although I had some knowledge because I had attended a programming school, the code in the real world was quite different.
At first I was working on changing the text and replacing images, but it was so different from what I had seen before that I wasn't sure if the knowledge I had was really correct, and I became quite stressed.
I even forgot where to write the img tag path, so Mr. Nagai repeatedly told me to "calm down"... lol
Suo-Oshima Office
I am now gradually getting involved in new projects, and with the help of Mr. Ito and Mr. Kikuchi, I am somehow able to create the web site.
I'll try my best to catch up with you all as soon as possible!
Coding is like playing billiards
I love billiards.
I don't have the environment to play billiards now, but when I was in Tokyo I played it all the time.
I would often play for 12 hours at a time to find relaxation when I was tired, when something bad had happened, when something fun had happened, or when I had free time;
What's so fun about it is seeing the ball move just the way you imagine it.
In billiards, you play by thinking about how to move the white ball and how to make it as easy as possible. Of course, just because you think about the composition doesn't mean you can actually make it happen.
If it doesn't work the way you expected, or you understand the theory but don't have the knowledge to implement it, or you make a mistake, you have to redo the configuration.
Yes, it's a lot like coding.
I think coders and engineers might like billiards.
It's not a good workout, but if you enjoy thinking, you'll probably find it fun.
It increases your interactions with people, it's refreshing, and if you can do it well, it can make you feel kind of cool.
The number of people playing billiards is decreasing, so I would like to popularize it.
So, I would be happy if you could show even a little interest!
We are always available to answer any questions or provide lessons regarding billiards.
In terms of skill level, I'd say intermediate.

My first time living in the countryside
Cat on a walk
Since March, I have been working at the satellite office in Suo-Oshima, Yamaguchi. I have never lived in the countryside before, and I have a bad habit of dealing with bugs, so I was quite nervous.
When I first moved in, I spent every day in fear of bugs. I hated nighttime when the bugs were most active, and I would wake up every hour looking around the room.
However, surprisingly, you quickly get used to it, and as you fight with insects every day, it gradually becomes silly to be scared, and you start to think that their existence is normal, and now he has grown to the point where he can even touch pill bugs.
As for my lifestyle, I recently started farming.
We started by renting a small space in front of our house and a vacant lot nearby and cultivating a field.
At first, I plowed the field and made furrows based on my impression, and it looked pretty good, so I received a lot of praise from my neighbors. However, it seems that I was only good at looking, and I received a lot of criticism, such as "You haven't done enough plowing," "There are a lot of weed roots left," and "The soil is rough."
The first peppers
I started over with the help of my neighbors, and got told off every time I tried to be even the slightest bit lazy...but somehow it's starting to take shape.
I'm planting garlic in that hard-working field, and this year I'd like to try growing vegetables that I wasn't able to grow last year.
Thank you for your long message.
Although I am like this, I would be grateful if we could work together.
