Hello. I'm Saito, a quality control checker.
The way we work has changed dramatically in recent times. Telework has become mainstream at Monosas as well.
Until now, I was able to casually chat with my coworkers during breaks or lunches in the office. But now, with teleworking, it's difficult to have casual conversations.
Even during this time when each of us is working hard at work, I'm sure we all have little stories that we'd like to share.
A break from casual conversation without any particular purpose. A break between articles on the Monosasu site.
It might be good to have that kind of time.
So I decided to create a "Take a Break" article by asking some small questions that I would like to ask everyone.
This time, the question was "What did you buy recently?" It was a simple one, but each person has their own personality and way of thinking. It was an interesting time to hear some positive shopping stories.
Asaki Ikeda, Headquarters: She has more curiosity and knowledge about beauty than anyone else
Although she is a hard worker, Ikeda-san always has a mature and cute personality. I often go out to lunch with her and we talk about dieting while eating a large portion of rice.
"What did you buy recently, Ikeda-san?"

[Three ways to protect yourself from UV rays]
① White parasol (with black lining)
The outer layer is white, which reflects UV rays, and the inner layer is black, which reduces glare. And the fabric is first-class light blocking!!
Apparently smooth materials like polyester block UV rays better than cotton, so I thought this would be the best shade I could get, so I bought it.
2. Chocolate I heard that high-cocoa chocolate is good for inner care to prevent sunburn, and since I like bitter chocolate, I eat it every day.
③ Lipospheric This is said to be a drinkable vitamin C drip, and unlike previous vitamin C supplements which have a low absorption rate in the body, almost all of it reaches the bloodstream.
It's popular and is currently out of stock from the manufacturer, but I bought a box to try it out.
[Nails]
I usually do my own foot nails, but I decided to go with the pistachio green color that's popular this year, so I bought these.
"It's hard to go out these days, but it's times like these that I want to raise my spirits." (Ikeda)
Ikeda's purchases include UV protection products.
Even if there are people who buy countermeasures, there must be few people who take care of their skin from the inside. It's typical of Ikeda to not only provide general knowledge, but also to talk about ingredients and effects, and to have fun at the level of a commentator!
Chocolate has many health benefits if you don't eat too much. I'm a chocolate lover, so I'm happy to know it's okay to eat it.
There is even a drink with an unfamiliar name, "Lipospheric." It tastes "oily and sour." "Good medicine tastes bitter," he told me in a bitter way.
I've heard that vitamin C is also effective against blisters, so as someone who has recently suffered from blisters myself, I'm very intrigued, but I can't find the courage to try the taste.
Apparently she goes to a salon for her hand nails, but she does her own foot nails. I've never heard of pistachio green before, but it's refreshing and perfect for summer. I'm sure wearing it would lift my spirits!
Ikeda's excitement for summer was clearly apparent.
You can do it at home. Strength training is even more stoic Checker: Minoru Kawaguchi
Kawaguchi-san has a quiet personality, but is passionate about the things he likes. As fellow checkers, we often chatted during breaks from work. So, I can imagine what he's been up to lately...
"Kawaguchi-san, what have you bought recently?"

[BODYBOSS]...A convenient item that allows you to perform over 100 types of training with just one machine.
Features 1. You can push yourself as hard as you would at the gym. 2. There is an official video, so even beginners can use it with confidence. 3. It can be quickly set up and put away (easy to set up and clean up).
④Compact and space-saving (Board folded): 405mm x 510mm
(Board unfolded): 810mm x 510mm
I never dreamed that the day would come when the gym would be closed. But I couldn't afford that, so I bought this to train at home.
In fact, it took nearly a month for the product to arrive, and by the time I opened it, the gym had already resumed business. I completely missed the opportunity to use it, and thought about donating it to Monosus so that people who are not getting enough exercise could use it, but it would be a waste to let it go without doing anything, so for now I am using it in addition to going to the gym. I realized that, just like working from home, I can do muscle training at home, and this has expanded my future training options. However, even if I could do 100 different types of muscle training at home, I don't have the option of not going to the gym. (From Kawaguchi)
Kawaguchi is well known within the company for being a fan of muscle training. Everyone must have wondered, "What is he doing while the gym is closed?" but he didn't give up!
This product is compact, doesn't take up much space, and is versatile.
When asked about the benefits of continuing to use the gym even after it reopens,
"(To train the parts of myself that I wasn't able to push myself to the limit at the gym)"
That feeling is something you can only understand if you are someone who experiences it every day. It's amazing that you can continue doing it no matter what the situation!
It looks like I'll still be lacking in exercise for a while, so maybe I should start secretly doing it too...?
A chance to expand fun time Designer: Yuna Sawada
Mr. Sawada works at a satellite office in Kamiyama, Tokushima Prefecture. When we go to the satellite office, he shows us around Tokushima. We don't have many opportunities to meet him now, but we wanted to ask how he is doing.
"What have you bought recently, Sawada-san?"

[Books about alcohol]
Ophélie Nemant, Wine is Fun! (Expanded and revised edition) - A picture-based wine textbook (PIE International)
Michael Guido, Whisky is Fun! - A Pictorial Guide to Whisky (PIE International)
Ferment books / Onomisa "Fermentation is delicious! Illustrated guide to fermented foods from around the world" (PIE International)
I only need to make big purchases once a year, so I only buy everyday items. Recently, I bought a textbook full of illustrations, like the illustrated history books I loved in high school!
That is, during the peak of the inconvenience of having time but limited options, I started cooking for myself for the first time in a while. When I went out to buy ingredients, I often wandered around the various food sections of the supermarket by myself. Then, I finally noticed how large the liquor section was, which I had always just passed by. The act of choosing one bottle that looked good from the wide variety of options in such a large section! I'm sure it would be fun if I knew more about it, but maybe my current knowledge is a waste! I thought to myself, so I went straight to the bookstore and bought it.
Since it is a textbook, it is packed with things that you would have liked to know, such as not only the general categories and explanations of the types, but also the changes in the times since their birth, the background to them, the characteristics of the country, and what it means to be fragrant. It also explains spell-like technical terms in a quick and comprehensive manner.
Usually, I think that photographs are good for technical books, but the illustrations are just right. Simple and easy to understand, with interesting anecdotes, I wanted to learn only the good points in a casual conversation. Because the motivation is casual, it's difficult to get started... the scope is too broad... so it's perfect for those who are worried about stumbling over! (There are also other textbooks in the series for coffee, beer, and cocktails!) (From Sawada)

I thought, "I see!" when I noticed that the size of the alcohol section has expanded. People are drinking at home more and more.
It's typical of Sawada to be curious about things that interest him and pursue them thoroughly. I can also understand the feeling of suddenly coming across something that you want to know more about and enjoy, and heading to a bookstore. This book is perfect for people who have a bit of a collecting urge, or who want to take it as a hobby.
The books are colorful and very cute! I wish school textbooks were like this, it would have been so much fun.
"I learned that there is something called orange wine and yellow wine, and I'd like to try some."
(Even though it's called orange wine, it's made using white grapes and the same method as red wine.)
Sawada-san's excitement was clear as he looked forward to enjoying the book and then some more drinks.
I'd love to learn more about it when the day comes when we can all drink to our heart's content!
I spoke to three people casually this time, and it was more interesting than I had imagined; each of them had some things that were the same as before the self-restraint period, some things that they had done in response to the restrictions that had been put in place, and some things that they had discovered only because of this period.
It may not have been necessary for me to know, but I felt relieved that we didn't have to meet face to face.
Look forward to the rest of the chat when we meet again.
By the way, the thing I bought recently was a three-tiered picnic lunch box. I thought it would be fun to pack a lot of delicious food in it and go out.

See you later!
