Mountains and feasts, a hiker's gin.

Summary
Hikers Gin wants to be your best friend when enjoying the mountains.
Whether you're having fun in a group or relaxing solo, I think drinking gin made with local trail vegetation on the mountain will help you feel more one with nature.
In the spirit of UL hiking, this lightweight bottle is packed with aromatic gin. This drink has a high alcohol content, so a small amount goes a long way!
So, let's enjoy a feast with the mountains, accompanied by Hiker's Gin.
When taking alcohol to the mountains, it's best to have something light (high alcohol content) and tasty. Hiker's Gin was born from that idea.
With these three things in mind, a group of hikers have developed this series while climbing mountains.
1. Connect with people and create together.
Hiker's Gin creates a series for each trail. What is important to us is the connection with the local people, even more than the ingredients. What kind of life exists in that land, in that mountain, and what kind of people we can meet? Just as each place has its own way of life and trails, each series of Hiker's Gin has its own story.

2. Use vegetation that lives there.
We use vegetation that is rooted in the land to flavor our gin. The local vegetation is, so to speak, the "character" and identity of the land. By making a gin that makes use of that "character," we hope to bring out the charm of each plant, and by drinking it in the mountains, we hope to become more one with nature.
The gin is distilled by Teppei Ichiba at Toranomon Distillery. Each series uses botanicals from different regions, resulting in fragrant gins that evoke the mountains of each region.

3. Enjoy the mountains with the UL spirit.
The lightweight and durable bottle, with a unique design, can be easily taken to the mountains. The container is made of polypropylene, a lightweight material with high alcohol resistance. It is well known among hikers as a fuel bottle. The bottle was designed by Triple Crowner (a person who has conquered the three major long trails in the United States) and illustrator Ryosuke Kawado. *UL stands for Ultralight. A hiking method that involves lightening equipment, devised to complete long thru-hikes in the United States.

Plan & Output
Kamiyama Town in Tokushima Prefecture is where Monosus has its satellite office and is also the base of Monosus' affiliated company, Food Hub Project. The development of Hiker's Gin began in this town, where there were already connections with farmers.
This gin is made using pesticide-free lemons grown in Kamiyama Town and yuzu-ka (a hybrid of yuzu and daidai). The refreshing flavor of the lemon goes well with the spiciness of the yuzu and the sweetness of the daidai.
This series was created to coincide with the participation in Yamamichi Festival 2023, an event hosted by outdoor garage manufacturer Yama to Michi.
We used Japanese cinnamon and umbellata from Saijo Nature School, which conducts research and conservation activities on flora and fauna in Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture, where the event is held, and blood oranges from Tangerine, a mandarin orange farmer in Uwajima City. The refreshing taste of herbs and the sweetness of oranges are characteristic.
