Hello. I'm Matsunaga from the Kojima Unit.
We currently handle B2B operations, with our main focus on web master support business.
Starting this year, we have started working together more as the Kojima unit, so I would like to share my impressions after working together for about eight months.
Kojima is a Takarazuka fan, loves his work, and loves drinking with friends (he is especially fond of beer and lemon sours).
My impression: From "distant person" to "reliable person"
Kojima-san when he received the "Annual MVP" award in 2015
He was originally the head of the Cloud Foundry team, and was responsible for managing a large number of coders while also running large projects himself. That was my impression when I was watching him from a different team.
Kojima-san does both coding and direction by himself. I was also doing similar work in the operations team, albeit in a small variety of small quantities, but Kojima-san was a distant figure who was involved in large-scale projects such as new launches and renewal projects.
Around 2019, we started working together as we were shifting from the cash flow business to the operations business.
When I asked the highly experienced Kojima to work on something for the first time, I was watching him to see how he would proceed, but the way he wrote the code and organized the files was neat and the way he communicated with me was smooth, so my impression of him changed to, "He's someone I can rely on!"
Let's all work together to improve our work
Kojima-san is amazing in many ways, but I would like to talk about one thing that I personally think is particularly great about him: working together as a team.
What I mean by that is, when moving forward with a project, it's amazing how they are able to reach a compromise between them and the client.
For example, when a problem occurs in a project and measures are being taken to prevent recurrence, the discussion often turns to changing the production flow so that the problem does not recur.
In Kojima's case, he sometimes manages to solve not only the problematic area, but other issues as well.
For example, during discussions they will ask whether there are any issues with the customer flow that Monosus cannot control, or if there is anything that you have thought "I wish we could do a little better."
By doing this, you may be able to get the customer to tell you their true feelings by saying, "Actually..."
Ultimately, the project is improved by the customer and Monosus working together to solve each issue.
I think it takes a little courage, but by having in-depth discussions, I feel like I have become much closer to my customers.
I think he probably enjoys the idea of "rain makes the ground firm" as he works. This is where Kojima's characteristics of being a "workaholic" and wanting to "work with everyone" come into play. By "everyone," I mean not only the members of Monosus, but also the customers, and I get the strong feeling that "we're all going to do this together."
I've only just started to follow in Leader Kojima's footsteps, and I would like to emulate him little by little.
