MONOSUS
ICECREAMING MAG

It's been a month since the Monosas site was launched.
What has changed and what is beginning to change

Hello. I am Nakaniwa, the editor-in-chief of the Monosasu site.
It has already been a month since this website was relaunched to coincide with our company's founding anniversary party on November 6th.
The days leading up to the opening were hectic, and they continue to be hectic even now after the opening.

Behind the hugely successful Monosus anniversary party were days of passionate dedication in preparing for the site's launch.

This site is run in the style of posting one article per day that conveys the honest current state of "measurement people" in a daily calendar format. There are nearly 20 sections, and a different section is posted every day.

This month, which was the first time we operated in this style, was a very difficult one for me, who had just become editor-in-chief, and for the members who were writing articles for the first time. In some corners, the editorial policy was not decided until the last minute, and when we wrote something, it seemed like something was not right... We had not yet created a proper workflow, and there were many proofreading mistakes. The manuscript was not decided until the last minute, and we continued working on it until the very last minute. There are many things to reflect on.
For things that can be improved immediately, we need to take measures as soon as possible, but for things that will take time to improve, I think the only option is to address them little by little through trial and error.

Although there were many difficulties, creating this website has also brought about many changes.

Three things have changed:
What is starting to change

The first change was how people looked at Monosus from the outside. The number of visitors to the site increased by nearly 10 times, and the number of inquiries from the site also increased. It was so sudden that Tatsuta from the marketing department, who analyzes Google Analytics, came to report the analysis results every day with a beaming face, which was impressive.
Some articles get over 200 likes on Facebook, and while it's nice to receive direct feedback, it also makes me feel tensed.

The second change is within the company. Up until now, each member may have had their own thoughts and feelings about the company, but there were few opportunities to express them, and they seemed to be vague. But with the website renewal and the emergence of a single personality called "Monosasu," the individual images of Monosasu that everyone had started to surface, and I think we started to see concrete ideas about what our company is like, and what we should do.
All members of this site are contributors and run by everyone. We hope that each of us will be involved in this "space" called "Monosasu" and that we can all help grow this fledgling site together.

The third change is a change in myself. I've been involved with the company as a designer, but now that I've been given the role of editor-in-chief, I've started to pay more attention to what's going on in the company as a whole. I've become more interested in what each member is doing and what's happening in the company than ever before, such as "They're having a meeting for an internal event right now," "That person seems busy at work right now," "I wonder what's going on in the company cafeteria today," and so on. I even take a snap of these interesting scenes and post them on Monosas' "Moment of the Day" ( Instagram ) (laughs).

Additionally, we are increasingly asking for cooperation across departments for things like filming and interviews with people outside the company, which has led to interactions with members with whom we don't usually have much contact in the course of our regular work.

Sometimes members of each team are gathered together to take emergency photographs.

These are the three changes I have noticed. In other words, these changes can be summed up as connections being born and changing.
Connections between inside and outside the company, connections within the company, connections between yourself and the company...
Through the Monosasu site, I would like to work hard to make these connections grow bigger, deeper, and more fun, while also getting others involved (laughs).
