Monotai members' word of the year 2018

Sawasdee ka! I'm Akamine, the director of Monosus Thailand.

Time flies, and 2018 is almost over.
It's a busy time as we approach the end of the year, but it's also a time to look back on the past year and think about what it has been like.

When I was talking with our Thai members about how in Japan, at the end of the year, a single kanji character is announced to symbolize the year, I wanted to ask them what that character meant to them.

The Monotai members are always proactive in their endeavors. This year, 17 members came up with a word to represent the year.

Since we were able to gather all the information, we decided to share it as an article.
Reading everyone's posts and comments brings back memories of the eventful year that has passed.

What is the word of the year for me?

spend one's life

This year I was able to do a lot of things that I have always wanted to do. However, there are still many things that I want to do.
A year has passed, which means you have one less year to do the things you want to do. Make the most of the things you want to do and live each day to the fullest.

ปีนี้ที่ผมได้ทำหลายๆ สิ่งที่อยากทำในชีวิต แต่ก็ยังเหลืออีกหลายสิ่งที่ยังไม่ได้ทำ
ผ่านไปอีก 1 ปี โอกาสในการทำสิ่งเหล่านั้นก็ยิ่งลดน้อยลง ผมอยากให้ทุกคนใช้ชีวิตให้เต็มที่ ทำสิ่งที่อยากทำให้ได้ม ากที่สุดและสนุกไปกับมัน ถึงแม้จะเป็นแค่เรื่องเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ก็ตาม

journey

This year I was able to travel to many places and see things I had never seen before. I think that experience made me try to get closer to people and be more considerate of other people's feelings than before. I think traveling is a way to improve your self-cultivation.

ปีนี้เป็นปีที่ผมเริ่ มต้นออกเดินทางมากขึ้น ทำให้ผมได้พบกับสิ่งแปลกใหม่ ซึ่งสิ่งเหล่านั้นเปลี่ยนแปลงตัว ผมให้คิดถึงและแคร์ผู้อื่นมากขึ้น รู้จักเข้าหาผู้อื่น ผมเชื่อว่าการเดินทางจะช่วยขั ดเกลานิสัยของผมให้ดีขึ้นครับ

change

I always believe that nothing stays the same, no matter what it is. Change is always happening.
2018 was a year of many changes for me, including my job and where I live. I hope these changes will be the start of good things for next year.

Over the past year, I have received a lot of valuable advice and help from you all. I am deeply grateful. From now on, I want to be not just a "Taker," but also a "Giver," just as I have received from you all.

It's fun

I was able to learn a lot of things this year. One thing I learned is that no matter what you do, if you enjoy it, you will get good results.

Friendship

This year, I feel like I've gotten to know the people around me better: my coworkers, classmates, family, etc. I'm grateful for the friendship I've had from my friends, because I don't think my life would have been as special without them.

ปีที่ผ่านมาผมได้เรียนรู้และ ทำความรู้จักกับคนอื่นมากขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเพื่อนร่วมงานเพื ่อนสมัยเรียนหรือคนในครอบครัว ทำให้ผมขอบคุณมิตรภาพ ของเพื่อนเพิ่มมากขึ้น เพราะถ้าไม่มีพวกเขาช ีวิตของผมก็คงขาดสีสัน

Future

I started to think about my future plans. I am 26 now and I am no longer a child. I have responsibilities for my mother, my girlfriend.

เริ่มเรียนรู้ที่จะวางแผนอนาคต 26 และตระหนักได้ว่าไม่ใช่เด็กอีกต่อไป มีภาระหน้าที่ต้องรับผิดชอบทั้งแม่และแฟน

การเรียนรู้​　Learning

This year, I learned things I didn't know about both my work and personal life, and I was able to do things I had never done before. However, there are still many things I don't know, so I have to continue to learn.

ในปีนี้ได้เรียนรู้​และได้ ทำหลายๆอย่างที่ไม่เคยรู้​ ไม่เคยทำมาก่อน ทั้งในเรื่องของงาน​ และการใช้ชีวิต​ ในปีต่อๆไปก็ต้อง​เรียนรู้ ​สิ่งใหม่ๆให้มากขึ้นไปอีก เพราะยังคงมีอีกหลายอย่ างรอให้ได้เรียนรู้อยู่

Growth

People, technology, creativity, business, everything has the potential to grow. In order to grow along with everything else, you need to keep learning. I believe you should always be confident and keep growing.

ทุกสิ่งมีการเติบโต ไม่ว่าจะมนุษย์ เทคโนโลยี จินตนาการ และธุรกิจ อย่าหยุดที่จะเรียนรู้ และสร้างความก้าวหน้าควร จะเติบโตไปพร้อมกับพวกมัน และเติบโตไปพร้อมกับความมั่นใจ

This year there were a lot of extremely difficult cases...
I am grateful to Kawamura-san and Machiyama-san for carefully directing me and working with me, even if it was difficult, late into the night or even the morning of the next day. Thank you so much.

At the end of 2018, I will have been working at Monotai for one year and four months. It was a year with many events. Thanks to everyone, I was able to make wonderful memories. Thank you very much.

Challenge

In 2018, I did a lot of things for the first time. I guess you could call it a challenge to myself. I think it's good to try new things to prove to yourself that "I can do it too!"

ความเชื่อ belief

2018 was like a journey where I set out towards a small goal with my own beliefs. I met many good people and was able to do good work.
In 2019, I hope that you too will set out on a journey of conviction to find the meaning of your own happiness.

Everything that happened in the past year is a special gift to me. There is only one word to express this feeling: my heartfelt gratitude. "Thank you everyone."

เพราะทุกอย่างที่เกิดขึ้นตลอดทั้งปี ผมได้รับมันเหมือนเป็นข องขวัญที่พิเศษในทุกๆวัน หนึ่งคำที่จะผมจะสามารถอธิบายได้ทั้งหมด คือด้วยใจที่ขอบคุณ ขอบคุณครับทุกคน

ความหลงใหล　passion

Since I started working, it has become difficult to pursue many things with passion, but this year I have been able to pursue my studies and hobbies with passion. As a result, I think I have been able to live a fulfilling life. I hope I can continue to live a fulfilling and positive life, both at work and in my private life!

พอเข้าสู่วัยทำงานก็รู้สึกว ่าความรู้สึกต่อเรื่องต่างๆ มันจืดจางลง แต่ปีนี้ไม่รู้ว่าทำไ มถึงกลับมามีความหลงใ หลต่อสิ่งที่อยากเรีย นและงานอดิเรกอีกครั้ง
พอทำอะไรด้วยความหลงใหลก็ รู้สึกว่าเราใช้เวลาในทุกๆ วันอย่างเต็มที่และรู้สึกพึงพอใจ คงจะดีถ้าเราใช้ชีวิตแบบ "เต็มอิ่ม" ได้ตลอด ไม่ว่าจะทั้งกับเรื่องง านและเรื่องส่วนตัวก็ตาม

Open-minded

This year I have come to understand the meaning of "open-mindedness." Being open-minded opens the door to new opportunities.

ปีที่ผ่านมา ได้เข้าใจความหมายของคำว่า “การเปิดใจ” การที่เราเปิดใจมันก็เหมื อนกับการเปิดรับอะไรใหม่ๆ ให้กับตัวเอง

self-discipline

What I learned this year is that only self-discipline can give you greater freedom in life. Working hard to do what is necessary to achieve your goals, and refraining from doing things that are not necessary. I think "self-discipline" means doing the right thing, not just doing what you want to do.

ที่ผ่านมาได้เรียนรู้ว่า ความมีวินัยในตัวเองเท่านั้น ที่จะทำให้ชีวิตมีอิสระ ต้องอดทนทำบางอย่างหรืออดทน ไม่ทำบางอย่างเพื่อเป้าหมาย การมีวินัยในตัวเองคื อการทำในสิ่งที่ถูกต้ องไม่ใช่การทำในสิ่งท ี่เราเเค่รู้สึกอยากทำ

What did you think?
Through travel, you can grow, study hard, cherish your connections with your family and those around you, and try new things.
It appears that each of the 17 people had a fruitful year, both professionally and personally.
