NPO TOEC

This is the website for "Nature School TOEC" in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture. It was opened in 2017. They run a free school and kindergarten where children can learn through interactions with people and nature, and also run camps for children, as well as parenting support, counseling, and seminars for adults.

In creating the website, we were conscious of two points: "come slowly, but in a hurry" and "slow down the speed of communication on the website." The first point, "come slowly, but in a hurry," was because we first needed time to get to know TOEC. Through repeated discussions, we worked on planning and design until we had a good idea of what it would be like. The second point, "slow down the speed of communication on the website," was because we wanted users to get to know TOEC thoroughly before coming to the school or camp. Rather than immediately conveying information through catchy photos and words of children, we placed an essay by the company's president, Tatsuro Ise, at the center of the website so that users could learn about TOEC through the daily activities of the children and the staff's feelings about them.
