Listening to the kobanashi, autumn deepens.
~From the Monosus morning assembly~

I guess the autumn leaves will be at their best soon.
Monosas is also entering the harvest season of autumn. The " Monosasusu rice" grown in Kamiyama was successfully harvested last month . The day when we can all enjoy the delicious new rice may be approaching...

The mornings and evenings are getting colder and we can feel autumn is deepening, but at Monosus, we warm up by listening to the "words" of the morning assembly. The day at Monosus starts with a little chat that is shared by the executives, department heads, and leaders, who take turns each day.

This month we will be introducing a little bit of it on the Monosasu website.
The guests are Kojima, head of the Coding Factory Department, Sakuyama, a director, and Tatsuta, head of the Marketing Department.

So, let's begin "Quote of the Day"...

Highly recommended! Steamed vegetables

Presenter
Izumi Kojima (Director of the Coding Factory Department)

Today I would like to introduce you to a super easy recipe.

This "steamed vegetables" recipe simply involves chopping the vegetables up into chunks, putting them in a pot, sprinkling a pinch of salt on top, and steaming over low heat. It's so simple, and yet so delicious!

There is just one point to keep in mind when making it.

  • Place leafy vegetables (vegetables that grow above the ground, such as cabbage) at the bottom.
  • Place root vegetables (vegetables that grow downward like roots, such as burdock) on top.

This will allow the moisture to come out from the leafy vegetables underneath. Just by doing that, the vegetables become super juicy and really delicious, even though the only seasoning is salt! I could eat as many beers as I wanted (laughs).

In our work, the deliverable is a website, so it has no substance and no smell.
But cooking has substance, gravity, and the smell comes right before your eyes... it really stimulates the five senses that we don't normally use in our work. It's kind of a revelation, and I think it's really great.

You can eat a ton of vegetables, so it's recommended for people who don't know what to do with them, or for people who haven't eaten or cooked vegetables recently.

Super easy and foolproof. You can do this.
This is a quick and easy experience that will make you go "Ahhh!", so be sure to check it out!

I took the Hato Bus

Presenter
Kumiko Sakuyama (Director)

The other day, I rode the "Hato Bus" for the first time in my life.

I was looking for something a little different to do with my nephew, so I looked into it, and was surprised to find that there were so many routes that it was hard to choose. Furthermore, when I went to Tokyo Station on the morning of the day, I was surprised to see a line of yellow buses and people riding them.

All of these are accompanied by a tour guide who takes great care of you.

The tour I took was a packed half-day trip that included seeing the National Diet Building, the Scramble Crossing, Roppongi Tower, a boat ride, and a hotel buffet.

The time for each location is tight, so when you arrive at your destination, they first announce, "We'll be here until XX:XX, so please make sure to use the restroom before coming back." When the time comes, they say, "Have you used the restroom yet? If you haven't, please go now," showing their considerate attention to detail (laughs).

The tour guide's explanations were really interesting to listen to as an adult. My nephew was really excited about the view from the large bus, and it was really refreshing for me to see the usual scenery from a different perspective.

There's not much freedom, but sometimes it's fun to move around within set rules.
I think it would be a good idea for everyone to try it out at least once.

Adult Stairs

Presenter
Yoshihiro Tatsuta (Marketing Department Manager)

The other day, I was planning to return to Tokyo on the last flight to Haneda (departing at 21:20) from my local Kobe Airport, but the flight was cancelled.

After checking in and sitting in my seat, I was waiting for the plane to take off when the plane suddenly stopped and an announcement was made that there was an "instrument malfunction." I was then made to wait about 30 minutes on the plane. At first, I thought the plane would definitely fly, and I was so calm that I even indulged in pointless thoughts like, "If I borrowed a microphone here and started singing Chiharu Matsuyama's song "Endless~" would it be funny, or would I get in trouble?", but in the end, the plane was not going to fly that day.
In other words, I can't go back to that day.

And at that moment I thought, "Japanese people are amazing."

Because it was the last flight, there were no transfers available that day, and the Shinkansen wasn't running, so I thought it would be hard for everyone. I thought some people might be angry because they probably had other plans after that, but everyone lined up in an orderly fashion at the counter, made their next reservation, and quietly left...

Ah, so that's what it feels like.

To be honest, the moment I found out that the plane would not fly, I was boiling with anger and thought, "Why?!" But when I saw the people around me calmly dealing with the situation, I realized, "This is no good." I'm not the only one having a hard time. But everyone was calmly dealing with the situation like this.

It was the night I took a step towards adulthood.

Well, have a great day today.

Using the five senses in cooking, an account of a Hato Bus experience, the steps to adulthood... This month too, we have a selection of "Kobanashi" that exude each individual's personality.

So, what kind of stories will come out tomorrow?
It's so much fun.

Well, have a great day everyone today.

Monosus Site Team

How to create good blood circulation with members and other people involved? How can we deepen our relationships to do better work? While thinking about this, we introduce the people and work of Monosus. The secretariat has approximately five members. I love eating a lot.
