I'm sure everyone has heard of this plant, but there are actually many different types of violets.
Those with purple, white, or yellow flowers. Those with or without stems. Those with long, thin leaves, rounded leaves, or cut leaves. Those with strong scents. Those that are endemic to a particular region, etc. (In Tokyo, Mount Takao is apparently known for its violets, and there is even a violet called Takao Violet.)
Some of the photos were taken at places I traveled a little further away, but violets can also be seen around the Yoyogi office in flowerbeds, small gaps in concrete, and greenways, providing a visual treat on the way to work or during your lunch break.
