KARUIZAWA ZAWAZAWA
Website and stamp rally embodying an art festival by residents

Summary
We created the official website for “Karuizawa Zawawa,” an art festival held in Karuizawa Town and surrounding cities and towns in Nagano Prefecture. In 2024, we are developing a web application in the form of a stamp rally in which visitors can read QR codes from their smartphones and redeem prizes according to the number of stamps they collect.
Issue
The project began through a personal connection with Advisor Hayashi, who wanted to create a system that would allow the operator to easily manage and update information using tools such as Instagram and Google My Maps, while keeping it all on one page.
Plan & Output
As an arts festival involving many people, there were many uncertainties, and it was sometimes difficult to coordinate meeting schedules and timing of decision making. Along the way, we made meetings regular and reported progress on a weekly basis, finding small issues and resolving them one by one.
Result
Since the venue was spread out over a wide area and there was a desire to encourage circulation and to know where and how many people visited, we developed our own web application for a stamp rally that reads QR codes. This made it possible to both plan for fun and acquire data that would lead to future improvements.
