At Monosus, we select the person who can say, "I worked the hardest this month!" and hold an awards ceremony every month when everyone gathers.
The February 2021 MVP award went to Akane Saito, a quality control checker.
In the past few months, Saito has been taking on new challenges, not only in web quality management, but also in business improvement and the operation of the Monosas site. We introduce comments from Kurihara, who recommended him as an MVP, Saito, who received the award, and CEO Hayashi.

Right now, he has come from Tokyo to my office in Kamiyama for work. This job involved both myself and Mr. Saito doing work that we had never done before, and we didn't know what to do, but we communicated with the client and worked with the other members to get the job done, which I am very grateful for.
Due to the nature of the work, we started without knowing the overall volume, and we didn't know what the end would be. With such anxiety and the fact that it was a job we had never done before, I think most people would have made a lot of negative comments, but Saito-san always spoke in a positive and forward-looking manner, thinking about how we could finish it and what we needed to confirm now in order to do so, and took action.
Although Saito-san always gives off a warm and relaxed vibe, he also has a strong sense of responsibility and always sees through to the end what we ask of him, so we can trust him to do our jobs. Thank you as always!
As of this year, Saito-san and I are in a different unit, but last year we were in the same unit and were involved in various things.
Originally, Saito-san had been mainly involved in quality control, and he had little experience in actual production or how to create numbers, so he joined the production-based Kurihara unit. I think it was difficult to work with people who had completely different ways of working than before. I'm sure there were times when it was difficult.
However, as we looked for tasks that we could ask Saito to do within the unit and discussed them with him, I was extremely grateful that he was always proactively taking on new challenges.
Although I narrowly missed out on being selected as the MVP since last year, I have actually received a lot of recommendations from various quarters. I want everyone to know about them, so I'd like to introduce them here.
- When I first became a member of the Monosas site's management team, I had the impression that he only did what he was told, but recently he has become more proactive and independent in discussions about projects and other things. He has started to think about how to make the site better for everyone as his own site.
- When I saw the access analysis report for the Monosasu site, the quality was higher than I had imagined, and I felt like I could see Saito-san's hidden potential. I thought he was an incredible person.
- In quality control work, he always thinks about how to proceed on schedule by the deadline, such as "how to make the work run smoothly with the members involved," and recovers. I am grateful. (Although the check phase is almost always delayed and the number of days available for checking is limited) I feel that he is someone who takes responsibility for his work and challenges himself to work.
As a former unit leader, this was very pleasing news for me as the MVP.

It feels strange because I don't feel like I have achieved anything outstanding, such as achievements or accomplishments, that would earn me the MVP award. Since last year, I have been focusing on quality control, and even though I don't have any specialized skills, I have been able to find things I can do at this company and get involved in various things.
This time, I worked at Kamiyama Town Hall, and it was a lot of fun because even though I didn't understand the big picture, I had to think about it, revise my plans every day, and it was a stressful job, so I'm very grateful for the various opportunities I've been given, including through the Monosasu site.
However, I am not particularly skilled at doing many things, so I think of this award as a chance to reflect on my gratitude to the people around me who have helped me, thought things through with me, and cooperated with me.
If there is anything I can do in the future, I would like to take on the challenge. Thank you very much.

Congratulations! How many years has Akane been here? It's been a long time. When I think of Akane, I remember going on a company trip together and having a lot of fun. She's a bit of a happening maker... It's a well-known fact within the company that when we go on a trip with Akane, one impossible happening after another happens.
I've been hearing amazing things about Akane-chan from a lot of different people lately. This is true from the editorial department of the Monosasu site, Kimi-chan and Sugimoto-san who are involved there, and even Manabe-san.
I was personally happy to hear those stories. As I hear more and more stories, I start to feel closer to them and like I know them better.
However, the last time I had a chance to talk to Akane-chan one-on-one about work was at the beginning of last year, and I'm really regretting that there are still many things I don't know and that there are parts where I haven't been able to listen to her more. Since then, COVID-19 has come and we haven't been able to talk at all, so I'd like to talk to her at length.
Recently, while listening to various people talk about Akane-chan, I realized that my impression of her was completely different from what I had felt before. Some members have said for a long time that Akane-chan has a lot of potential, but I think that this potential has not been fully utilized, both personally and from the company's perspective.
Akane's MVP award made me realize that it would be great if we could utilize the potential of the people in this company and make work fun. Congratulations.
