The Lunar New Year is over, and spring is fast approaching.
For this year's New Year's cards, we tried out a new project for the first time called "Monosasu New Year's Gift - Kamapan Giveaway", and we have just completed delivering the Kamapan to the winners.
We received a lot of applications this time, but we actually prepared a simple questionnaire (for your thoughts on the Monosasu site) when you applied. We were excited to see how many comments we would receive, but we received many more than we expected! We read each and every one of them with great joy.
Kamapan Giveaway Application Form (Thank you for all your applications!)
Although we update the Monosasu site every day, we rarely have the opportunity to hear from our readers. So, this time, we would like to introduce how you all view the Monosasu site, focusing on the impressions you have sent us.
1. Overall impression of the site
First, my thoughts on the Monosasu site as a whole.
- Putting the articles together in a calendar was a great idea.
- The simplicity of the site makes you want to explore it further.
- The calendar is easy to read and has cute illustrations, making it a design you'll want to check out.
We have received many comments that the format of the top page being a calendar, with articles updated on a "daily basis", is interesting. It is true that having staff articles (blogs) on the top page may be unusual for a corporate website. In fact, on the day that an article you have written is published, it appears right there on the top page, so it makes you feel both happy and embarrassed... (However, the next day it will be replaced by the next article, so that excitement only lasts for one day.)
By the way, this calendar will appear as an icon for each corner until the article is published, and once published it will change into an actual image.
(Before publication) Contains an icon for the section to be published
(After publication) It will be changed to a thumbnail of the actual article.
Also, on weekends and holidays when articles are not published, there are proverbs and illustrations related to the number of that day. There are various patterns, so please check them out.
2. The benefit of being able to see each other's faces
The next most common comment was about being able to see the faces of each staff member.
- The impression is that the site is very thorough and you can see the faces of the people and the company.
- The faces are shown and the friendly atmosphere is apparent.
- It feels more familiar and approachable than other company websites.
- A site where you can get a feel for the personalities of our employees
The Monosasu site values speaking in the first person. It is filled with our desire to convey our "honest present". Most of our members are basically shy, and many of them are reluctant to show their faces... but we swallow that and write our daily articles with the subject being "I" - a member of Monosasu.
At the bottom of the article, there is a profile of the writer. I hope it piques your interest to know who the writer is.
3. About Daily Articles
- It's fun to read different people's blogs every day.
- There are many unique and interesting articles, so it's very enjoyable.
- It's interesting because there are stories about Tokushima as well as the web.
- It might be easier to read if the text was a little shorter.
I received a lot of feedback on my daily articles. I also asked about the most memorable articles, and the answers were very diverse (laughs). I've published nearly 600 articles so far, so I realized that there are many different points that catch my attention.
Among them, the following section received the most comments:
Vice President Nagai's serial "Work and Life on Suo-Oshima"
List of articles : http://www.monosus.co.jp/posts/cat17/
This is a series of articles written by Nagai, who suddenly moved to Suo-Oshima in Yamaguchi Prefecture last spring, about his work and life there. "It's encouraging to know that you can work no matter where you are," "The vice president moved here!" and other comments that we couldn't help but agree with!
"BtoB Research" series by the BtoB team
List of articles : http://www.monosus.co.jp/posts/btob/
This series was written by the BtoB team, who have interviewed over 600 BtoB companies and have worked on the renewal of many corporate websites. We have received positive feedback, mainly from BtoB companies, such as "This is very helpful" and "I look forward to your continued updates."
Also, I agree with the opinion that "it might be easier to read if the text was a little shorter" (bitter smile). Recently, we have been posting great works, averaging about 3300 to 3500 characters. (Some of them are epic works of over 7000 characters...!) Some say that blog articles of about 2000 to 3000 characters are easy to read. Maybe it's good to have a quick and light article every now and then. We hope to create a "Monosasu site" that is unique to us, while valuing both readability and casualness.
By the way, the shortest article so far was a New Year's greeting from our CEO, Hayashi.
This year, I was able to give a concise greeting in just 592 characters.

Bonus: We delivered a free Kamapan bread
We received many applications for the "Monosasu New Year's Gift/Kamapan Giveaway", and we recently successfully delivered the prizes to the 10 winners.
Since we notified them of their win, we have heard many happy comments, such as "All the staff are overjoyed," and "I couldn't help but brag to the other employees!" Freshly baked bread was sent out to customers from "Kamapan & Store" in Kamiyama.
Freshly baked bread will be carefully packed and shipped from the food hub project "Kamapan & Store".
A letter with recommended ways to eat it is included...
The delivery was made during a snowy season, which made us nervous, but it arrived safely. We also received many comments from customers who tried the Kamapan. (Thank you very much!)
The bread itself was delicious without any toppings. When I poured butter and maple syrup on it, it was a whole different story. When I toasted it, it was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and very satisfying to eat.
The recommended cut is thick, but I didn't want to waste it, so I couldn't cut it that thick. But in the end, I finally got up the courage to cut it thick and put butter on it, and it was a great choice as I could enjoy the chewy texture even more!
The solid weight and fragrant sourness remind me of German bread, but it is softer and moister than German bread, so it is easy to eat and I liked it. It really feels like a "meal bread". It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
This was our first attempt at a New Year's card project called "New Year's Money and Kamapan Presents." We were hoping that our customers would enjoy it, but we were also able to hear directly from them their opinions of the Monosasu site and their impressions of Kamapan, which turned out to be a much more enjoyable experience for us than we had expected.
Thank you again to everyone who applied.
I hope we can come up with some fun projects!
