Finally the day has come. It's the day I will be writing my first article for the Monosasu website.
This time, I have the honor of introducing Mr. Teppei Kawamura, who is called "TEPPEI" or "PEI" by Thai people because he is the person I have known the longest.
Although this may only be a small part of him, I would like to share what I have learned and felt during the several years we have worked together.

เอาจริงๆ ก็ไม่ค่อยรู้เรื่องอะไ รเกี่ยวกับเขาสักเท่าไร (ฮา) แต่จะพยายามเขียนเรื่ องที่รู้และความรู้สึก หลังจากที่ทำงานร่วมกั นมาให้ได้มากที่สุดค่ะ
First encounter
The first time I met Mr. Kawamura was on his first day at work.
Perhaps because it is an IT company, most employees come to work in casual clothes such as T-shirts and jeans, but that day he came to work in a salaryman-style dress shirt and slacks.
However, his hair is a little long and messy, like Eita (the actor).
The contrast had quite an impact, and I still remember it to this day (laughs).
However, for some reason, that outfit was only seen that day and I never saw it again...
My first impression of him was that he was a refreshing (?) and modest, yet affable person.
At that time, he didn't speak much Thai so he couldn't talk freely with Thai people, but I felt that he was willing to interact with Thai people.
It seems that they don't mind interacting with foreigners, and are quite used to it.
Coincidentally, he was from Tochigi Prefecture, where I lived while studying abroad during university, so we had a lot of common topics to talk about.
When I talked to him, I got the impression that he was a friendly, artistic person.
วันแรกที่เจอคาวามุระซัง คือ วันเริ่มงานวันแรกของเขาค่ะ
ปกติพนักงานจะแต่งตัวสบายๆ ใส่เสื้อยืดกับกางเกงยีนส์มาทำงานกัน (อาจจะเพราะบริษัทเราทำเกี่ยวกับพวกไอที?)
แต่วันเริ่มงานวันแรก คาวามุระซังแต่งตัวเรียบร้อยมาก Salary man ญี่ปุ่นสุดๆ
แต่ทรงผมเป็นแบบยาวๆ ฟูๆ เหมือนเป้ อารักษ์ (ที่มาของชื่อ?)
ซึ่งมันดูไม่เข้ากันเลย... รู้สึกประทับใจในความไม่เข้ากันนั้นมาก ลยจำได้จนถึงทุกวันนี้ (ฮา)
แต่ก็แค่วันนั้นวันเดียวค่ะ หลังจากนั้นก็ไม่เคยเห็นเ ขาแต่งตัวแบบนั้นอีกเลย...
ถ้าให้พูดถึงความรู้สึ กที่ได้เจอกันครั้งแรก เขาก็ดูเฟรนด์ลี่ดีค่ะ เพราะยิ้มตลอด ไม่ค่อยพูด แต่ก็ดูเป็นคนอัธยาศัยดีค่ะ
ตอนนั้นเขายังพูดภาษาไทยไม่ค่อยได้ 100% แต่เขาก็พยายามที่จะสร้ างปฏิสัมพันธ์กับคนไทยดี
ดูเขาไม่ได้รู้สึกว่าการสร้างปฏิสัม พันธ์กับคนต่างชาติเป็นเรื่องยุ่งยาก ในทางกลับกันเขาดูจะเคยชินเสียด้วยซ้ำ
และบังเอิญว่าเขาเป็นคนจังหวัดโทะชิงิ ซึ่งเป็นจังหวัดที่ฝนเคยไปอาศัยต อนเรียนแลกเปลี่ยนสมัยมหาวิทยาลัย ก็เลยมีเรื่องให้คุยกันมากขึ้นค่ะ
หลังจากได้พูดคุยก็รู ้สึกว่าเขาเป็นคนสบายๆ เข้ากับคนง่าย แล้วก็มีความเซอร์ๆ อาร์ตๆ 2019

หลังจากได้ทำงานร่วมกัน…
I am currently explaining the project specifications to the coder and providing advice.

First of all, it was very difficult for both of us at first! (laughs)
Since this is a place where Japanese and Thai people work together, naturally there are problems such as language barriers and differences in culture and thinking.
There were so many things that neither Kawamura, the Thai coder, nor I knew, that we couldn't respond smoothly at first.
Although I can speak Japanese, I am not a native speaker, and at first I didn't understand anything about web production.
Not to mention Japanese, there are times when I can't understand even Thai.
At times like that, I asked Coder-san and Kawamura-san for advice.
In particular, Kawamura-san has been explaining both the Japanese language and his coding knowledge in an easy-to-understand way.
To me, he is a colleague, a Japanese language teacher, and a Japanese coding teacher.
By the way, I think Kawamura-san's Japanese is very easy to understand. His pronunciation is clear and easy to listen to. (I'm speaking from a foreigner's point of view.)
Sometimes the content I am interpreting is difficult and I make mistakes in Japanese, but at those times he carefully asks, "Is this what you mean?" and makes an effort to understand.
Thanks to you, I am able to work without feeling much of the stress and pressure that comes with working in a language that is not my native language.
What impresses me most about Kawamura-san is that he is always considerate of the feelings of those around him, and gives advice and support while respecting each person's opinions and ways of doing things.
I'm in charge of directing schedule management, and even though there is a lot that needs to be done, he is also very patient and considerate, as he consults with the coders and teaches the interpreters.
That's why people want to work with him.
There's no doubt about it, Kawamura-san is like an older brother who is loved by everyone!

เพราะเวลาคนไทยกับคนญี่ปุ่นทำง านร่วมกันก็จะมีปัญหาเรื่องภาษา รวมไปถึงความแตกต่างของ วัฒนธรรมและความคิดด้วย
และช่วงแรกๆ ทั้งคาวามุระซัง, โค๊ดเดอร์ชาวไทย รวมถึงล่ามก็มีเรื่องท ี่ไม่รู้เยอะแยะมากมาย การทำงานร่วมกันในช่วงแร กเลยไม่ค่อยราบรื่นเท่าไร
ตัวล่ามเองถึงแม้จะเรียนภาษาญี่ปุ่นมา แต่ก็ไม่ใช่เจ้าของภาษา อีกทั้งยังไม่มีความรู้ เรื่องการทำเว็บไซต์เลย
บางครั้งฟังคำอธิบายเป็ นภาษาไทยก็ยังไม่เข้าใจ ยิ่งภาษาญี่ปุ่นก็ไม่ต้องพูดถึง...
แต่ก็ได้โค๊ดเดอร์และคา วามุระซังช่วยสอนให้ค่ะ
ยิ่งคาวามุระซัง สอนทั้งภาษาญี่ปุ่นและเรื ่องเกี่ยวกับการเขียนโค๊ด ช่วยอธิบายให้ฟังแบบเข้าใจง่ายๆ
สำหรับผู้เขียนแล้ว , ครูสอนภาษาญี่ปุ่นและ ครูสอนเรื่องการทำเว็บ (เวอร์ชั่นภาษาญี่ปุ่น) ค่ะ
ส่วนตัวคิดว่าภาษาญี่ปุ่น ของคาวามุระซังเข้าใจง่าย (ฟังแล้วไม่ต้องตีความ )
สำเนียงการพูดก็เพราะ ทำให้ฟังง่ายค่ะ (นี่คือคิดเห็นของกะเหรี่ )
บางครั้งเนื้อหาที่ต้องแปลค่อนข้างยาก ทำให้พูดภาษาญี่ปุ่นแบบผิดๆ ถูกๆ แต่เวลาพูดผิดเขาจะถามกลับอย่างสุภาพว่า “หมายความว่าอย่างนี้ใช่ไหม?” คือพยายามที่จะเข้าใจส ิ่งที่เราพยายามสื่อสาร
จากประสบการณ์ เวลาที่ต้องทำงานโดยใช้ภาษาที่ไม่ใช่ภ าษาแม่ตลอดเวลาจะเครียดและรู้สึกกดดัน แต่เวลาทำงานกับคาวามุระซั งจะไม่ค่อยรู้สึกเครียดค่ะ
สิ่งที่ประทับใจมากที่สุด คือ คาวามุระซังมักจะใส่ใ จความรู้สึกของคนอื่น รับฟังความคิดเห็นและให้เกียรติทุกคน แต่ในขณะเดียวกันก็คอยให้คำปรึกษ าและให้ความช่วยเหลือทุกคนเสมอค่ะ
เขามีงานที่ต้องทำหลายอย่า งเพราะต้องจัดตารางงานและทำ Direction แต่ก็ยังคอยให้คำปรึก ษาโค๊ดเดอร์และสอนล่าม จึึงคิดว่าเขาเป็นคนท ี่ใจเย็นและใจดีมากค่ะ
ด้วยความที่เขาใจเย็นและใจดีแบบนี้ ทำให้ทุกคนอยากร่วมงานกับเขา
คิดว่าสำหรับโค๊ดเดอร์ที่ไทย คาวามุระซังเป็นเพื่อนแล ะเป็นพี่ที่ทุกคนรักนะคะ
I work almost in silence every day. Whenever I hear a voice, it's usually someone on the phone or in a meeting.

What about his personality and private life?

First of all, he can handle his alcohol! And he's very knowledgeable! That's impressive for someone like me who doesn't drink alcohol (laughs).
He has a quiet, straightforward, and tolerant personality.
He himself said, "I'm pretty casual about it," but I think what he means is, "I'm not that particular about it. It doesn't matter what it is." When the time comes, I think he has a strong sense of responsibility and will deal with things carefully.
He is friendly and humorous, and often tells jokes with a serious face, sometimes involving physical exertion.
If anything, they are similar to Thai people in many ways. I don't really sense a Japanese aura from them (laughs).
Her hobbies are listening to music, watching movies and reading.
I love music, and when I first came to Thailand I would play records in cafes with friends.
Even now, he still does it as a hobby.

นอกจากนี้ก็เป็นคนเฟลนด์ลี่ มีอารมณ์ขัน ชอบเล่นมุขหน้าตาย (ถ้าพูดไปโยกตัวไป นั่นคือเล่นมุก
แล้วก็มีหลายอย่างที่เหมือนคนไทย ไม่ค่อยมีออร่าความเป็นคนญี่ปุ่นแล้ว ฮ่าๆ
งานอดิเรก คือ ฟังเพลง, ดูหนัง, อ่านหนังสือ
ชอบฟังเพลงมาก ตอนมาไทยใหม่ๆ 100%
ดูเหมือนว่าตอนนี้ก็ยังไปเปิด อยู่บ้างเป็นงานอดิเรกอยู่ค่ะ

Currently, he seems to mainly collect Thai music records.
The Thai coder was surprised to find that he knew many famous Thai oldies songs that young Thai people didn't know.
We asked him when he started listening to Thai music and what he finds appealing about it.
I was interested in Thai records even before I came to Thailand. When I was living in Koenji, Tokyo, I went to a local event where MAFT SAI , a Thai record collector who also runs a record store, was DJing, and that's what got me started listening to Thai records.
This was around 2010, when I was collecting old reggae records, and I was so impressed by the similar sound of Thai oldies records to those old reggae records that I fell in love with them. Around that time, I had also started to feel like I wanted to move to Thailand, so I was determined to find Thai records if I ever went to Thailand.
After moving to Thailand, I made friends with Japanese music lovers and went to Thai people's houses and the Thieves' Market (Klong Thong Market) together to look for Thai records. I used to collect a variety of records, including reggae, disco, and hip hop, but now I only buy Thai records. There are still so many records I don't know about, and I discover something new every time I go looking, so it's become my favorite genre!
This is how he fell in love with Thai music, came to Thailand, and even started DJing with his friends.
By the way, when I was a DJ, I was featured in a Thai street/men's fashion magazine!

คาวามุระซังรู้จักเพลงไทยเก่าๆ (เข้าขั้นโบราณ) ที่โค๊ดเดอร์คนไทยไม่รู้จักเยอะมาก
DJ มาว่าเริ่มฟังเพลงไทยตั้งแต่เมื่อไร แล้วทำไมถึงชอบเพลงไทย
เริ่มซื้อแผ่นเสียงเพลงไท ยตั้งแต่ก่อนมาไทยแล้วครับ ตอนนั้นยังอยู่ที่เมืองโคเอ็นจิ จังหวัดโตเกียว มีโอกาสได้ไปดูอีเวนท์ที่ถูกจัดขึ้นแถวๆ MAFT SAI DJ คนไทยชื่อ ซึ่งเป็นนักสะสมแผ่นเสียงแ ละเปิดร้านขายแผ่นเสียงด้วย ก็ได้ฟังเพลงไทยเป็นค รั้งแรกที่อีเวนท์นั้น
ตอนนั้น (ปี 2010) ผมสะสมแผ่นเสียงเพลงเรกเก้เก่าๆ อยู่ พอฟังเพลงไทยเก่าๆ ก็รู้สึกว่ามีซาวด์บางอย่ างที่คล้ายกับเรกเก้เก่าๆ ก็เลยชอบ ตอนนั้นก็เริ่มรู้สึกอยากลองมาอยู่ที่ไทย เพราะคิดว่าถ้าอยู่ไทยน่าจ ะหาแผ่นเสียงเพลงไทยได้ง่าย
หลังจากย้ายมาอยู่ไทยก็ได้เจอเพื ่อนคนญี่ปุ่นที่ชอบดนตรีเหมือนกัน ก็เลยชวนกันไปหาซื้อแผ่นเสียงเพลง ไทยตามบ้านคนไทยที่เขาขายแผ่นเสียง หรือไม่ก็ไปหาซื้อแถวตลาดคลองถม , ฮิปฮอปไว้เยอะมาก แต่ตอนนี้ซื้อแต่แผ่นเสียงเพลงไทยครับ มีแผ่นเสียงที่ยังไม่เคยฟังอีกเยอะ ยิ่งหาก็ยิ่งเจออะไรใหม่ๆ กลายเป็นแนวเพลงที่ชอบที ่สุดในตอนนี้ไปแล้วครับ!

การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เห็นได้ชัดที่สุด คือ ทรงผม!
ก็จะถูกคนไทยแซว… เอ้ย ชมว่า “พนักงานใหม่เหรอ!? หล่อจัง” (หล่อไหม?)

This is my introduction to Teppei Kawamura as I know him. I hope I was able to convey some of his good qualities and personality.
This is not just my opinion, but I think the Thai coders at MonoThai feel the same way.
He works hard and I want him to succeed in whatever he does.
He is always supporting those around him, and I hope that we can all help each other rather than just relying on him.

สุดท้ายนี้ อยากบอกเป้ว่า…
