MONOSUS
ICECREAMING MAG

Congratulations to the MVP: "My partner" Izao Murakami, who helps me get the job done with peace of mind

At Monosus, we select the person who can say, "I worked the hardest this month!" and hold an awards ceremony at a monthly meeting where everyone gathers.

The December 2020 MVP award was awarded to Izao Murakami, who works as a checker in Yoyogi, Tokyo.

The members, who know the hardships Murakami has faced since joining Monosus 11 years ago, were touched by his acceptance speech.

We would like to introduce comments from Maruyama, who recommended the award, Murakami, the award winner, and Representative Hayashi!

The biggest influence was probably the system construction project we worked on together this year.
This was a project that required a lot of corrections and additions. Even though they were busy checking other projects, when I asked them about the check, they casually said "It's fine" and checked carefully to make sure there were no mistakes, which was very much appreciated.
This project has been ongoing since February of this year. As it is a system-related project, we needed to provide evidence of the checks we performed and the process we went through to make corrections. We were required to provide a strict level of quality, but Maro (Murakami), as a checking expert, was able to perform thorough checks and prepare documents, which gave us a sense of security.
He has also been recommended by others, as he has grown over the year into a checker that directors and sales people can trust and be entrusted with system-related projects.
It was a slightly different genre from the projects we usually do at CF, so it was a project that I was not familiar with as a coder, but I felt reassured that they would pick up the mistakes without missing anything. I felt very reassured as a coder's partner, so I recommended them to express my gratitude.

Winners
Checker Murakami

I never expected to win this award, so my heart is still beating a little. This is my second time receiving this award, but the last time was for system change support at the support center, so this is the first time I've received an award as a quality control officer. So I'm really overwhelmed, and I can't find the words to express it.
I was happy to hear Maruyama-san call me "partner". I think that the job of checking is not the main one, but rather the coder or director is the main role, and the checker plays a supporting role. It is easy to become like that due to the role of the job, but I myself have not been able to escape from the idea of being "only a supporting role". I am very happy that I was evaluated in the same way this time.
The project I'm working on with Maruyama-san is nearing the end of its second phase, but in the first phase, we were not able to do the technical aspects or the arrangements well, which caused some trouble for Kawaguchi-san, Saito-san, who was also in charge of checking, and Takeda-san, the unit leader. I felt that I had to work hard in the second phase, and I think it was good that I made improvements and worked on it. This was only possible with the support of those around me, so congratulations to everyone. It's not a very coherent story, but thank you very much.

Message to Murakami
Representative Hayashi

Congratulations Maro. How long has it been? It's been a long time since you got it. Congratulations. Shinkan was launched in the second year of the CF service in the long history of CF, and now it's run by three people. The way the front end is made has changed a lot, and I think it's been a long time since they've been worried about how to position Shinkan. The members, BO, and management were all thinking about what to do about it, so I think it's a big deal that Maro got the job of Shinkan at this time.
I was also happy that Maru-chan (Maruyama) said that. When you have to make big changes, sometimes you can change it from the site, and sometimes you have to bring in something completely new from outside. It would be great if you could change it from the site, but there are days when that doesn't come easily. I think this project was quite high-level, but I also find it strange that the client was a notorious client who happened to be Monosus' main client when it went independent.
I'm glad that the quality control work played such an important role in the big job that involved the system at the client's site, and I'm also very happy that Maro and Maru-chan have developed a relationship. I think Maro is going through a difficult time, so I'm glad that there was a good topic to talk about. Congratulations.

Monosus Site Team

How to create good blood circulation with members and other people involved? How can we deepen our relationships to do better work? While thinking about this, we introduce the people and work of Monosus. The secretariat has approximately five members. I love eating a lot.
