The MVP award is given to the person who "worked the hardest this month!" In November 2021, the award went to Okubo, who was the central figure in planning and managing the sports day held to commemorate Monosus' 17th anniversary.
Okubo, who loves sports, had been telling the other members for years that he wanted to get together with them and have a sports day someday.
On the day of the sports day, preparations were made with careful consideration of various things, such as infection control measures and how members from satellite offices could participate, and around 40 members gathered on the grounds.
We will introduce the sports day where they met for the first time in a while and worked up a sweat, but for now we would like to introduce some comments to Okubo, who was awarded the MVP.

This recommendation comes as we would like to express our gratitude to the people who planned and organized the sports day as an anniversary event.
In the lead up to the sports day, a chat room was created for the participants. There, various information such as announcements was sent out, and even at that stage, Okubo-san's enthusiasm was extraordinary. Just watching him, interesting information flowed one after another.

It was a lot of fun when I actually participated. Thank you very much. Since we had to start from planning something we had never done before, I think it required a lot of energy, but it was a lot of fun.

When I participated, it was the first time I met some of the members in person, so it was a lot of fun and I was grateful to be able to have that kind of experience again after such a long time.
I really enjoyed it. Thank you very much.

I didn't participate, but I want to express my gratitude. I think a lot of people from Kamiyama and Yamaguchi participated in planning the sports day, and I'm grateful that they created a valuable opportunity for us, given that we don't have many opportunities like that under these circumstances.
When I asked the members when they returned, they said they were very tired but had a lot of fun. And I heard that Okubo-san had the most fun of all.
I'm sure it was a lot of work to make all the detailed arrangements, but I thought it was wonderful that Okubo himself was enjoying himself.
We are very grateful for providing an opportunity for our members who usually work in regional areas to meet with everyone from other bases. Thank you very much.
Message to Okubo
- Representative Hayashi
Due to his outstanding performance at the sports day, Mr. Okubo was unanimously selected. Congratulations.
I told Okubo-san directly, and once again, I want to express my sincere gratitude to him and that I had a really good time.
Personally, I think the energy of wanting to do something is amazing. As the CEO of our company, I hope that each and every person can achieve what they want to do, so I think it was amazing that we were able to achieve that in the form of a sports day.
I was in charge of the anniversary event for a long time, and even after the anniversary event committee took over, I think the members who were appointed to the committee felt that they had been given a heavy role. However, this year's sports day, Okubo-san took charge of everything, and for some reason, he even thanked me, which was a rare experience. I personally felt very happy about that.
What I've been thinking lately is that while the desire to "do it" is strong, there is also a fleeting aspect to it. In terms of what no one can see, I think there was a time when Okubo's desire to "do it" weakened, as he was struggling with the question of "Is it really okay to hold the event in these times?"
"I wonder if everyone has been vaccinated," "What if the number of COVID-19 infections increases," and "How will people react to holding the event in these times?" I think there were also feelings of concern. Sakuyama and I tried to support that as much as possible.
But when he said, "We want to hold a sports day," everyone jumped on board. I think it was the fact that so many members wanted to participate that ultimately lit a fire in Okubo-san. Until then, it felt like the flame was about to go out, like a candle was burning, and it was in an unstable situation. I think it was everyone who revitalized it.
In the end, it was an event that everyone participated in, and I think that Okubo-san was at the center of it all. I was really happy that Okubo-san won the award.

Since January of this year, I've wanted to hold a sports day, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, I wondered if it would be possible. I was constantly worried about this. But I couldn't do it on my own. So I talked to Hayashi-san and Sakuyama-san, and they decided that we should ask everyone first. So I told everyone at a regular meeting. The response was better than we expected, so we decided to hold a sports day! From that point on, my excitement really soared, and I started going wild on Chatwork, just like Tatsuta-san described. Lol
I'm really grateful to everyone for this time. Every time I go to the gym in Shibuya Ward once every few months to play sports with my Monosus comrades, I've been saying for about three years now, "I want to hold a sports day!!"
I'm also grateful that the company supported what I wanted to do. I was also happy that everyone participated. I asked Iino-san, who prepared the meals, Yuge-chan, Takahashi-san, Furuhata-san, Akane-san, Hayashi-san, and Arai-san, and they all moved forward on their own. Sakuyama-san, Ito-san, and Shogo helped with the competition management, but they also made decisions and moved forward on their own. Sakamoto-san was also in charge of things like the roll call for the chartered bus from Tokyo Station. Everyone cooperated so much that I didn't think it was difficult at all. The preparation period was so much fun, and the day came in a flash.
The day before is the most fun. When I thought about tomorrow, I was so happy and excited that I was already celebrating. I had the most delicious beer of the year!
I'm sure I was the one who enjoyed the sports day the most. But I was even happier when everyone said "It was fun!" I think I'll use the prize money to buy something to use at the next sports event. It was a really happy day. Thank you very much!
