The MVP award is given to the person who "worked the hardest this month!" The June 2024 award went to Machiyama, who works as a director.
At Monosus, in many cases when we work on creating websites, a director is involved in the project.
Machiyama's work is particularly diverse, including proposals from the design stage and project progress management.
The trigger for this award was the website construction that Machiyama has been in charge of for a huge project for three years, for which he has been committed.
He seems to have spoken of wanting to broaden the scope of his work, as he feels he needs to reassess the way he has directed and run projects that he has established up until now. Here are some comments from Machiyama, who is sure to continue to challenge himself and grow stronger, taking advantage of what he has gained so far, not just in the web.

This marks the third year that our unit has been in charge of building websites for the extremely large projects that occur on a regular basis for this client.
The regular meetings for this mega project have over 50 participants, and there are a lot of important agenda items, so the speaking time per person is set very tightly at 2 or 3 minutes, making it an extremely difficult meeting. Even for us who have been doing this for years, speaking up is difficult, but Machiyama-san is good at prioritizing information, narrowing down the points that need to be confirmed and the people that should be asked, and if it is okay to do it via chat, he runs the meetings very efficiently. Watching him speak, he seems very reliable and stable, and I can sense the trust he has from the client.
Just the other day, we had the important launch of the website for this huge project. We successfully pushed many stakeholders to complete their tasks, and in building it, we held meetings in English twice a week with overseas system managers to thoroughly coordinate everything, and after that we were able to successfully launch the website.
I think it will always be a challenging project no matter how many years you work on it, but I hope to continue working with you next year and beyond as a reliable member of the project team.

Listening to Uemura-san's story, I felt that he was growing a lot in the project and that he was involved in a good project. Last month, Machiyama-san had pharyngitis and was unable to speak. For almost a month, we had to communicate in writing even in one-on-one meetings, and I think that there were times when we caused inconvenience to the people involved, but I was impressed that he managed to get the job done even in that condition.
Also, as one of the leaders of Monotai, the company he belongs to, he meets with Thai members every week and contributes to the overall movement. I think it's great that he takes the initiative in other meetings, speaks up even in situations where the atmosphere seems stagnant, and tries to get the situation moving.
I'm sure you will have a tough time in the future, but for now I would like to thank you for your hard work and recommend you. Congratulations.

Congratulations. Speaking of my recent contact with Machiyama-san, I met with him a few months ago to discuss the topic of "wanting to broaden the scope of my work." Now I'm participating in regular meetings with the HAUS unit and trying to broaden the scope of my work.
I've been working as a coding director for a long time, and I've become very good at it. However, when I helped a friend start up his company, I felt like I had reached the limit of what I had been doing. When you connect with society, it's very important to feel that you want to grow yourself beyond your usual work area. Furthermore, I think it's important to have the courage to say out loud, "I want to grow!" I hope we can work together on a wide range of projects that go beyond the boundaries of web production. Congratulations.

Thank you. I didn't expect that at all. I'm happy.
This is the third year for the project that Uemura-san talked about. In the first year, I joined a time when even the people who had been involved for years and were supposed to be familiar with the situation were in a state of chaos. Even conversations between Japanese people were chaotic, and even more so when interacting with overseas teams. Since last year, we have finally been able to get the schedule and specifications in place so that we are at least not confused, and this year, the specifications are the same as last year, so thanks to you, we have been able to manage in a much calmer situation.
I want to do many different things in the future, and I've been feeling a bit unsure of myself lately because I don't think I'm good at my job, so I'm really happy. Thank you. I'll do my best. I look forward to working with you in the future!
