MVP Congratulations Message One of the people in charge of the deliciousness of Monosas. Yu Sagawa

The MVP award is given to the person who "worked the hardest this month!" The October 2025 award went to Sagawa, a confectioner at FarmMart & Friends.

FarmMart & Friends has been preparing to prototype and sell a dessert called "Babka" ahead of its unveiling on November 28th.
Sagawa has been at the center of this effort, repeatedly experimenting with ideas to create an even more delicious babka.
Monosus members in Yoyogi were watching closely as the many prototypes were being made, and comments such as "It's so delicious, but it's not finished yet" were heard from all around.

Of course, Sagawa is also involved in the deliciousness and beauty of FarmMart & Friends' donuts today.
Here are some comments about Sagawa, who is always serious about creating delicious sweets.

Babka is a New York staple made with plenty of chocolate and braided dough.
FarmMart & Friends' babka is made by folding butter into sourdough dough, which has a wheat flavor and the sourness of the sourdough, and layering thin dough and chocolate in multiple layers, resulting in a light, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a beautiful cross-section when cut.
We recommend slicing it thickly and eating it as is on the day you buy it, re-baking it in the toaster on the second day, and baking it in a frying pan with butter from the third day onwards!

I often stayed in the office with Mr. Sagawa at night, and I was very impressed by how hard he worked, repeatedly trying out different prototypes of babka.
Every night, I was given the opportunity to sample various prototype donuts and babkas.
This time, the donuts have been revamped with a new dough, and the babka, which has been the subject of many prototypes, will finally be released soon, so I wanted everyone to know that the things we have worked so hard on have finally taken shape, so I recommended this product.

Even when making prototypes, Sagawa never compromises, and continues to pursue how best to convey the maker's thoughts and the quality of the materials.
He's been at FarmMart & Friends for about six months now, and he's been proactively coming out onto the floor to communicate with customers, and I'm sure the other FarmMart & Friends members are inspired to work harder when they see him like that. For me, too, thanks to Sagawa's support, I've been able to get things done that I hadn't had time to do before, and he's been helping me think through what to do, so it's been a real help.
We renewed our donuts in October, and I don't think we could have created something this delicious without Mr. Sagawa. Let's continue to work together to make this a great shop! Congratulations.

Congratulations, Sagawa-san. You've only been fully involved since April. The quality of our products has really improved dramatically, so I think we have many happy customers and our employees are using them in various ways.
You're taking a very different approach to product development from what you've experienced up until now, and you're also involved in the field through trial and error, so I imagine it must have been really difficult. But the fact that you're getting so many recommendations from other people means that your efforts are being highly praised, so I think it's good that you keep praising yourself.

FarmMart & Friends Confectioner Sagawa

I'm very surprised to be selected as an MVP. I'm really happy to receive comments from so many people! Thank you very much.
After three months of training in Kamiyama, I returned to Tokyo and have been working hard at FarmMart & Friends, creating sweets and donuts using ingredients from wonderful producers. During this time, I sometimes felt like I couldn't quite bring my ideas to fruition, so I am very happy to have been able to release a new sourdough dough.
I believe that I could not have received this MVP award without the support of many people, including all the members of FarmMart & Friends, Mr. Hosoi, Mr. Arai, and others. I would like to express my gratitude once again.
Recently, we have seen an increase in Monosus employees who work in Yoyogi coming to buy donuts and coffee, which makes us very happy. We hope to continue to deepen communication with our customers and Monosus employees through food.
