This is about our experience at the "Lifestance Expo 2026 by PARaDE" exhibition. We had a food truck offering mushroom burgers, shakes, soups, and other mushroom-related items, and a stand next to it selling mushroom cultivation kits, fresh mushrooms, and all sorts of other mushroom-related products.

The weekend from January 31st to February 1st was extremely cold, and no matter how many hand warmers you had, your hands and feet were numb. In that cold weather, our signature product, the "Mash Shake," a milkshake made with shiitake mushrooms grown on logs, attracted attention, not to be outdone by the burgers and soups. It's a milkshake made with ice cream prepared by simmering shiitake mushrooms, topped with olive oil. It's easier to just try it than to imagine the taste. If you can overcome the courage to try it, a whole new world will surely open up for you. Perhaps our message got through to them, as some people came back to drink the Mash Shake twice during the event.

This exhibition was held at a building called "the CAMPUS" in the KOKUYO Building in Shinagawa. Our booth was in the outer courtyard area, and there were colorful tables and counters on the terrace where people could eat. Placing the mushroom substrate in such a place gave it a different atmosphere than usual, and it looked pop. I don't often get the chance to take pictures of the substrate in different settings, so I snapped a few shots.

The mushrooms on display this time were prepared to show how oyster mushrooms are actually grown. We exhibited both a substrate made from 100% coffee grounds and a substrate made from a blend of coffee grounds and sawdust, which is sold as a cultivation kit. We would like people of all ages to try the "cultivation kit" because watching mushrooms grow is very interesting. They are full of mysteries that are different from plants. The appeal of mushrooms is that people have different points of interest, and that is what makes them so fascinating. We would love to hear what interests you.
