Hiromi Kakurai, a hardworking member of the operations team who is always cheerful and brightens up the people around her

Hiromi Kakurai is a member of the Creative Department's Dojo (my) team, and she's always been helpful to me both in my personal and professional life, whether it be taking me out for a drink on the way home after working overtime, accompanying me to karaoke, hiking, or other outdoor activities, or even giving me love advice.

He is always cheerful and clear-spoken, always considerate of those around him, and works responsibly and hardest.
Here's a brief summary of my impressions of her:

This time, I would like to introduce what kind of person Kakarai Hiromi is through her approach to work and her daily life.

From fashion to hitchhiking to the web

Kakarai was born in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, as the youngest of three sisters.

Kakurai, who was raised by two kind older sisters, is good at communicating with people, is not shy, and talks to anyone in a friendly manner. She is also good at answering the phone, and is known to be a role model for everyone.
However, she does not think of herself as being good at communication, and in fact there was a time when she had difficulty communicating with others.
After graduating from a fashion school, Kakarai gets a job selling clothes, but he becomes tired of dealing with customers and complaints, and develops a sense of discomfort when communicating with others.
After he retired, he lived as a NEET for a while, but after a month of hitchhiking, he experienced the warmth of strangers and realized that interacting with people isn't such a bad thing after all.

Later, as he had loved drawing illustrations and posters during his student days, he decided to become a web designer and joined Monosus.
It's surprising to know that he had no experience whatsoever and had never even attended school.
When I spoke to the hiring manager at the time, he said that the deciding factors were his clear manner of responding and his excellent communication skills.

I try harder than anyone else because I'm not good at it

After joining the company, he initially worked mainly on design projects while studying, but his talents blossomed when he was put in charge of operational direction for large-scale projects.
He works on each project with great care, and even in areas where he has no technical knowledge, he does not simply leave it to the coders, but understands the content thoroughly before assigning the project.

When we spoke to members who work on projects with Kakarai, they said that when they are asked to work on a project with her they feel comfortable doing so, and that she always has an easy-going demeanor, making it a very easy experience working with her.

However, when he was first put in charge of this large project, he seemed to be battling anxiety as it was all his first time and he didn't know what to do.
At that time, I would stay up until the last train every day to deal with projects and check the progress in detail to see if there were any problems. That kind of attitude of working hard to eliminate anxiety and strong sense of responsibility is not something that anyone can imitate.

As I was writing this article, I spoke with Kakarai again and realized that rather than running away from the things she's not good at, she confronts them head-on and puts in more effort than most people, which is how she turns her weaknesses into strengths.
Also, because they start out feeling that they are not good at it, there is no arrogance even after they become able to do it, which is good.

One time, when we went out drinking with the company members, she was worried about work and started crying. Those tears were not tears of hardship at work, but tears of frustration.
From the perspective of those around her, she is already working too hard, so there is no need for her to push herself so hard, but she says she wants to be better at her job and cries, lamenting her own incompetence.
With such a serious approach to his work, Kakarai is sure to continue growing without stopping.

Pursuing quality without compromise

Let us introduce some other stoic aspects of Kakarai's manufacturing.

For Monosus' 10th anniversary party, a denim-themed party was planned based on the concept that "just as denim grows (by wearing it), we want to nurture relationships between employees and guests."
At that time, Kakurai was the one chosen for the job. His skills from his days at fashion school were highly valued.
She was put in charge of making denim patches to hand out to attendees, as well as aprons and tablecloths for the people cooking at the party.

It must have been difficult to work on such a tight schedule while also carrying out her regular duties, but she managed to produce denim goods that would meet everyone's expectations.

He never compromised on the denim fabric, going to a fabric wholesale district and visiting several stores, and because his sewing machine at home was not working properly, he stayed overnight at a friend's house and sewed denim for three days and nights with almost no sleep.

When making aprons, attention is paid to every detail, such as making the waist strings, which are the part that bears the most stress, sturdy and choosing thread colors for the stitching that will stand out against the denim.
Furthermore, because the fabric was quite thick, there were some parts that the sewing needle just couldn't get through, so they had to carefully sew each piece together, including some hand sewing.

Recently, he has also been in charge of photographing food for use on the company's official Facebook page and website, and once again his commitment to manufacturing is apparent.
Not only do they adjust the shooting time according to the time of day and weather to adjust for factors such as the amount of sunlight, but they also research the accessories and ingredients they will use in the shoot on an internet budget, and even if a store that sells them is far away, they spare no effort to go and purchase them.
They are highly motivated to make things better, and rather than just doing what they are told, they have the ability to proactively think about what needs to be done to make things better and then act on it.
At the same time, he is also honest enough to accept the opinions of his seniors and incorporate them after fully understanding them.

I'm experimenting with the placement of ingredients and taking photos from various angles.

Come to think of it, she assisted the detective in the tailing section of the Ura Yoyogi Walking Map , and even then she was thinking for herself about which angle would be best for taking hidden shots, and looking for ambush spots.

Having employees with such a strong desire to work and the ability to think for themselves means I can entrust them with work with confidence, which is very helpful to me.

Natural consideration brightens up the surroundings

Furthermore, Kakarai is extremely considerate.
If I ask them to do something once, they will do it before I ask again, and if I'm busy and leave my dishes eaten in the company cafeteria, they will volunteer to clear them away.
At drinking parties, he pours me beer at the perfect time, and if I look like I'm not feeling well, he always shows concern and quickly offers me painkillers.
He also picks up on everyone's boring jokes, and if he sees someone just walking around, he'll proactively start a conversation.

She also makes plum wine with her colleagues (known as the Plum Wine Club) to give to people at year-end parties and other events, and when asked what the best part of making plum wine is, she said that what makes her happiest is when everyone drinks it and says it's delicious.

Kakarai Hiromi is a cheerful person who is considerate and considerate of those around her, but at the same time, she also has a very stoic side.
About two years after joining the company, I realized that I had become an indispensable member of not only the operations team but also Monosus.
I hope that we will continue to work hard together, striving to improve ourselves both at work and in our personal lives.
