I'm Kamii, the head of the creative department.
This month's MVP was awarded to Yuutaro Kagawa from the Creative Department Operations Team.
He works at a satellite office in Kamiyama, Tokushima Prefecture , which began operations this January.
Moved to Kamiyama as a member of the satellite office launch team
The Kamiyama satellite office, which started with seven people, including four newcomers, is primarily responsible for design and coding.
The director of the operations team in Tokyo acts as the client liaison, confirms and proposes production content, and gives instructions to the production team in both Tokyo and Kamiyama.
Kagawa is in charge of design together with two other newcomers. He confirms the instructions from the director in Tokyo and coordinates the production in Kamiyama.
However, over the past three months, thanks to Kagawa's hard work, the Kamiyama operations team has evolved to not only handle production, but also serve as the main liaison for clients.
Kagawa's new role in moving to Kamiyama is to be one of the founding members of the satellite office, and while continuing to carry out his own responsibilities, he will also be training new employees and building a production team.
He initially moved to Kamiyama for work alone, but when he was asked to work in Kamiyama he was a little hesitant because he couldn't imagine the change in his living environment.
However, on the other hand, being entrusted with building the team made him feel a strong desire to do it, and he naturally answered "I'll go."
The satellite office has been transformed into what can be called the "Kamiyama Operations Team"
This January, the operations team began operations for the site that I was in charge of renovating when I was part of the production department last year.
When the site went live, the web director who had been with us during the renewal continued to handle design and direction, and Kagawa was assigned to be in charge of design and coding.
Ultimately, the operations team is responsible for everything, but in order to understand the site structure, content, and specifications of the developed system, they first began by handing over control to the production side.
Initially, we had planned to have a handover period of around three months, but that plan fell apart shortly after the New Year.
It was announced that the number of new products being released by clients, which had been scheduled for March, would far exceed initial expectations, and that the earliest release date for some products would be early January.
Kagawa-kun moved to Kamiyama with one other member at the beginning of January. I imagine that as soon as they had unpacked their belongings, the hectic production schedule began.
(It must not have been easy for them to start living together in the "accommodation building" of the Kamiyama satellite office at the same time, but they didn't show it.)
By the end of January, Kagawa had grasped the site structure, and by February he had taken over the design and direction duties, with his team members taking over production from March.
Currently, clients contact Kagawa with operational and production requests such as updating product information, as well as consultations about website improvements that involve system modifications.
Thus, the Kamiyama operations team became the main team, with the Yoyogi members in a backup role.

The potential of the investment team as envisioned by Yutaro Kagawa
From the Kamiyama Monosus School to creating the satellite office environment and opening the office, the backbone of the Kamiyama operations team has been built by operations team leader Kurihara.
Kagawa has made a great contribution by embodying and expanding the scope of work that the Kamiyama Operations Team can take on.
Of course, that shape is the work of the seven members of the Kamiyama operations team, but it could be said that it is Kagawa who is drawing its outline.
Recently, he has begun working on projects unique to Kamiyama, in which he communicates closely with local people. We can expect further growth as a designer through such projects.
I heard that Kagawa's attitude was seen as encouraging by the managers of other departments who visited Kamiyama for the grand opening of Kamaya and Kamapan & Store on March 3rd.
Last month, Kagawa found a house in Kamiyama and will start living with his family this Golden Week.
Kamiyama is a place where many people want to move and it is difficult to find a home, but we managed to come across a very good property by chance, and it seems our luck is on the rise.
Monosus members live and work in various locations, including Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, and Kamiyama.
Meanwhile, the creative department operations teams were each in their own locations, in Tokyo and Kamiyama.
Kagawa-kun has also begun to consider the option of living and working in Kamiyama.
Comments on receiving MVP award
Thank you, Kamii-san, for recommending me as MVP.
The other day, I opened an account at Awa Bank. I'm from Kagawa.
It's already been three months since I started living in Kamiyama. Everything about my work and life is new, challenging, and fun.
To be honest, when Kurihara asked me to transfer to Kamiyama at the end of last year, I was hesitant, but now I truly feel that I made the right choice by coming to Kamiyama.
Although I believed that it would be good for me and for the team, the days passed by so quickly that I had no time to think about how I was changing since coming to Kamiyama...
In the midst of all this, I unexpectedly won the MVP award. When I heard from Uwai why he recommended me, I realized for the first time that living in Kamiyama was contributing to my own growth and that of my team. I'm very happy.
All of this is thanks to the people around me.
Ige-chan, who moved from Yoyogi to Kamiyama at the same time as us and has been with us through thick and thin. Kurihara-san, who looked after us so kindly so that we could enjoy life in Kamiyama. Everyone on the Kamiyama team, who worked hard and enthusiastically. Kawarazaki-san, our team leader, who was happy about our MVP award as if it were his own. And everyone who supports us from the Yoyogi office.
Thank you as always. I would like to grow slowly but surely at my own pace. I look forward to your continued support.
