This month's MVP is Natsumi Tanaka, the integral form of "disorganized" x "trying to do things honestly."

Hello. I'm Tokumitsu Kojima from CF.
This month's MVP winner is Natsumi Tanaka from the Coding Factory Club (hereinafter referred to as the CF Club).

I've been with the company for three years now. I'm the only staff member in the CF department who has the title of director on my business card. Of course, I'm also a coder, so I basically do the production myself. However, for large-scale projects or complex projects that require a director, I act as a coding director and act as an intermediary between the client and the production team to move the project forward.

At the regular meeting, the MVP recommendation comments were read out. Pay attention to Tanaka's big reaction.

The MVP recommendation points are:
"The determination to see things through," "ingenuity," and "drive"

From around spring last year to July this year, he was in charge of directing four projects (medium-large scale systems, large scale, super-large scale, large scale CMS), and no matter how difficult the project was, he never gave up, but instead came up with creative solutions, made smooth pilgrimages (adjustments) to various places, and even made long-term trips to Osaka at times. First of all, I commended him for his "will to see things through to the end," which meant that he managed to complete all the projects.
In addition, his flexibility of thinking and drive were also evaluated in terms of his thinking on a daily basis about "how can we move projects forward in the best possible way?", identifying problems and issues and ways to solve them, and proactively proposing and implementing solutions.
These efforts bore fruit, resulting in the highest sales within the Coding Factory division in the first half of this year, and proving to be a solid success.

From what I've read so far, Tanaka seems to give off the impression of being a very capable person, but in reality he is very clumsy and basically a disorganized kid.
It went up, but now it's dropping at a rapid pace (sweat)
If you take a look at the member introduction page or the coder's tidbits page, you will probably understand her personality, presence, and in a way, her heroic tales, so please read the above article and then come back here.

My desk is a mess in many ways (lol)
STAR WARS, Hello Kitty, and Murakami Takashi coexist.

The amazing potential of being able to "just try it"

So how did Tanaka, who is clumsy and disorganized, become able to manage large-scale projects?
This is just my personal speculation, but I think it's probably because he has the temperament of "just trying things honestly."
When she receives advice, she "just tries it out," and even if it's something unknown or unknown to her, she "just gives it a try," but what is particularly amazing about her is that she can do this as effortlessly as breathing, and I feel that this produces positive results in everything she does, leading to her rapid growth.
"Honestness" has such powerful potential, and when I see the effects of being able to naturally (and continue to) "try things honestly" even as an adult, with innocent fear and without being picky, I think it's truly amazing.

The hidden greatness of behavioral patterns

As far as I have observed, Tanaka's behavior patterns are as follows:

  1. First, "give it a try."
  2. Almost always, I stumble upon something.
  3. Ouch, ouch, ouch, I thought to myself, and wondered why I had tripped.
  4. Although we are lost and disoriented, we think and consult with each other some more, and eventually find the cause and a solution.
  5. His eyes are sparkling.
  6. And without any hesitation, I immediately said, "I'll give it a try."
  7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 to learn the method that best suits you.

That's how it feels, but even if she falls down or gets scolded, she innocently repeats this. I thought this image was similar to something, but it was a tomboyish little kid running (from an old lady's perspective?). She runs everywhere, falls down (lol), cries for a moment/thinks about something, and then starts running again.
He has a charm that makes you want to tease him. In fact, he is the most teased character on the team. As a Kansai native, he always responds with a response (with big gestures and lots of onomatopoeia), which is also great, but that aside.

If you look closely at her behavioral patterns, you'll see that they are a royal road to a virtuous cycle, or the PDCA cycle or the KPT method. I found myself strangely convinced that this is why she grows.
However, there is an important point that should not be overlooked: I think this cycle works well because of the number 5. I think it is Tanaka's character or strength, but I think that the "joy of discovery" leads directly to the next action. I want to treasure that richness of sensitivity.

Memo on memo (5 layers) on the wall. It may look messy, but it's all the seeds of growth.
I sometimes wonder what would happen if I changed the position of the sticker. I don't do that though.

As a person who will shoulder the future of CF

She is still rough around the edges and has many challenges ahead of her, but that also means there is still plenty of room for improvement, and I am really looking forward to her continued growth and the future of CF.
I hope that her sparkling eyes will continue to give guidance and hope to everyone, from newcomers to seniors, regardless of age or gender, that "if you follow her attitude and behavior, you can still grow."

I am one of the people who are inspired by her, and I am grateful every day to her for making me believe without a doubt that I can do even more.
Thank you so much. And I look forward to working with you in the future.

Comments on receiving MVP award

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Kojima, who recommended me as MVP, to my seniors at Monosus who have helped me get to this point despite my limited work experience, and to my juniors who continue to treat me as a senior, even though I am someone like me.
We have been able to get to this point thanks to your sincere response at all times.

After,
I am very grateful and happy to be scolded or warned about anything. The scary thing is when no one tells me anything anymore!
I think it's also thanks to me that I continued to think that way and take it seriously. Well done.

However, there are still many areas where I need to improve. I often forget my duties at work, my desk is messy, and on the weekend after receiving the MVP award, I rewarded myself by eating my favorite tonkotsu ramen, beer, and cake, and wasted the whole weekend due to poor health.
I will continue to work harder and harder, so that I can achieve more and more things that I cannot do now, and so that I can continue to beat my yesterday self, so I would appreciate your continued support.
