Looking back at Monosasu site from MVP article 2017, Part 1

2017.12.26 | TOPICS | CULTURE

The Monosasu site is updated daily to convey "the honest current state of Monosasu people." This year, we created many articles, a total of 243! This is all thanks to the members who usually create the website, who worked hard and diligently in their spare time.

The "Monosasu Site Monthly MVP" award is given to honor such members.
We select one article each month, taking into consideration not only the individual's efforts, but also the quality of the article, its social impact, and the company's internal direction.

Looking back at the MVP articles, the past year of Monosasu Site seems to come to light... so, as we introduced them all at once last year , let's do it again this year. One article per month, a total of 12 articles. We will deliver them in two parts, today and tomorrow.

Let's start by going back a little and looking at the MVP article published in December 2016!
*The MVP will be selected the month after publication, so the articles awarded this year were published between December 2016 and November 2017.

Monthly MVP of Monosasu Site

Hideno Okuyama's growth trajectory is as follows:
This may be the very trajectory of Monosus.

Published on 2016/12/07 Posted by Yoshihiro Tatsuta

The first article in the MVP is an article introducing Hideno Okuyama, the head of the sales department. Okuyama has been with Monosus since its founding, but he has made a huge transformation from a call center dispatch staff member to the head of the sales department in charge of sales, making him one of the most versatile members in the company.

The person who wrote the article about her growth was Tatsuta, the head of the marketing department. He has been watching her from up close, so the article is full of sharp comments and love. Among them, this description was the one that I thought was the best way to put it.

Tatsuta

The Okuyama style of sales has two faces that coexist beautifully.
One of them has a face like that of a wild beast, pushing and pounding.
The other is her angelic face, caring for customers and members.
The balance is exquisite.

A wild beast and an angel... that's exactly right! I hope you will read this article and experience the charm of the mountains. (For some reason, the article features a "Wind God and Thunder God" painting, but now you know why...)

By the way, the writer, Tatsuta, is a man from Kansai who is known as an " intellectual yakuza in a proper suit ." His unique tsukkomi and punch line writing is also an excellent MVP.

A shop filled with the couple's love from top to bottom
~ BISTOR KRI-KRI ~

Published on 2017/01/19 Posted by Hiromi Kakurai

This is an MVP article whose title conveys a delicate feeling, with the words "From Every Corner to Every Corner," "Couple," and "Love." The writer is Kakurai from the Creative Department. He was so passionate about introducing this shop that he decided to include it in the " Yoyogi Walking Map " section for the first time.

However, she discovered the shocking truth that the store would soon be closing down. Still, unable to give up, she went ahead with the interview, and wrote the following at the beginning of the article:

Hiromi Kakurai Kakurai

The owner of the restaurant expressed concern that although the restaurant had been recommended to him, it was currently closed and he felt sorry for anyone who had wanted to visit after reading this article.
However, I have a strong attachment to this store and I am grateful that you agreed to my request to write about it.

This article exudes sincerity, attention to detail, and perseverance. Wanting to capture the charm of my favorite restaurant, I visited the restaurant many times and wrote it carefully. It's an MVP that makes you really want to go to the restaurant after reading it. I can't wait for the revival of this beloved town bistro.

Monosus Thailand - Introduction of all staff

Published on 2017/02/13-14 Posted by Takuya Miyagawa

Monosus Thailand is home to a Japanese director and Thai staff (coders, interpreters, general affairs). Although they work together across the ocean, Japan and Thailand, on projects, there are still many mysteries surrounding each individual character...So, let's introduce all the Monosus members shrouded in mystery at once! The article, which appeared in two parts, was awarded the MVP. It was compiled by Director Miyagawa, a leader who loves everyone at Monosus like family.

Takuya Miyakawa Miyagawa

I knew that everyone loved photography, but I couldn't help but smile at the enthusiastic portraits that were filled with each person's individual personality.

The director himself was grinning, but no, no, why, there were so many wonderful photos! The perfect poses and serious and sincere writing... just reading it made me fall in love with Thai people. A few months later, when our staff member Noo came to visit our Yoyogi office during a trip to Japan , we were also completely smitten with the smiles of the "Land of Smiles".

He's the complete opposite of me. I asked the director and coder all about it!
~"Ko-daa x Ko-daa" Kanno x Tanaka edition~

Published on 2017/03/07 Posted by Shin Kanno

The next MVP was a serial article in Coding Factory (CF). It is a column that is written by different coders in turn, but this time, Kanno, who was the writer, planned the article in the form of a dialogue.

Shin Kanno Sugano

This may seem sudden, but I've started a project to ask some interesting coders in the Coding Factory about their work methods and way of thinking (I started this on my own?! So it will be an irregular series).

When I asked him, he said, "I wanted to make a template that future writers could use." As expected of a coder who takes pride in his CF skills, he is skilled at working efficiently. Although he is a man with no waste, Kanno also has a side to him that is "interesting to talk to," contrary to his taciturn image.

At last year's cherry blossom viewing party, Sugano had everyone in stitches with his superb hosting skills . In this article, he will approach Tanaka, who is the complete opposite, with light-hearted exchanges that will make you feel like you're listening to "Radio Sugano." "He's a massive masochist (laughs), but I get that," "Wow! Amazing. A hero has appeared!" "Wow, so he admits that his desk is dirty," "That's a good attribute!" Enjoy the talk of Monosus' proud DJ Sugano.

Ask Leader Sakamoto!
What are your thoughts on BtoB and the role of the team?

Published on 2017/04/04 Posted by Keisuke Haga

A new face who joined the company this year won the MVP award. The article was written by Haga, who studied at Kamiyama Monosasu Juku for half a year as a second-year student , and then joined the marketing department with the aim of becoming a planner. I wanted to know more about the BtoB team I belong to, so I interviewed the leader, Sakamoto.

"I'm happy to meet the amazing people who support Japanese manufacturing, and I want to help bring these amazing technologies and products to as many people as possible through the web," said Sakamoto, whose passion was well received by Haga.

Keisuke Haga Haga

It may take some time, but as soon as possible, I want to become a planner who can meet the expectations of Sakamoto, the other members of my team, and the B2B companies that I will be working with in the future.

He's fresh. His fresh enthusiasm is dazzling. Originally from Hiroshima, Haga used to work in apparel, and has a low, smiling voice that quietly burns with fighting spirit. I'm sure the day will come soon when he will take flight as a planner. He's an MVP who gives us a sense of that future.

"Ideas" and "connecting people" come from a genuine concern for the happiness of those connected.
~Interview: Akihiro Hanawa (FourQuest Co., Ltd.)~

Published date: 2017/05/01 Interviewer: Yasuo Sakamoto

The last MVP of the first half was from " Meguru Monasashi ," an interview with people who have a deep connection with monosas. Sakamoto, who appeared earlier as the leader, attacked a senior colleague whom he respects as his "sales master."

The guest speaker was Akihiro Hanawa, CEO of Four Quest Co., Ltd. Sakamoto said that he frequently visited Four Quest in order to become friends with the sales expert Hanawa. They share the same birthday, and it seems that Sakamoto was greatly influenced by the relationship between Hanawa and his teacher, which was like that of an older brother and a younger brother.

Yasuo Sakamoto Sakamoto

It also influenced the way I write catchy slogans.
Especially in the proposal document, there is a line that starts with, "So, Hanawa had an idea!". "So, Sakamoto had an idea," he uses that line exactly.

You can't help but want to say, "Same as usual!", but that's what's great about Sakamoto. He absorbs his brother's teachings obediently. Sales is a job that tends to be seen as difficult, but seeing Hanawa-san's genuine enjoyment of it seems to have shaped Sakamoto into the ace striker who leads Monosas.

The two were so excited that the laughter never stopped during the interview. This is the passionate MVP, a big brother who loves yankee manga.

Monosus Site Team

How to create good blood circulation with members and other people involved? How can we deepen our relationships to do better work? While thinking about this, we introduce the people and work of Monosus. The secretariat has approximately five members. I love eating a lot.
