"Cooking makes people human"
We are looking for new members for the Food Hub Project!

Hello, this is Manabe from the Production Department.

The Food Hub Project is a food-related initiative in Kamiyama Town, Tokushima Prefecture, with the motto "Farm Local, Eat Local." The company, which was jointly established by the Kamiyama Town Office, the Kamiyama Tsunagu Corporation, and Monosus, will celebrate its second anniversary next spring. As the manager, I'm busy every day.

The Food Hub Project started with just a few people, but little by little, our members have grown and we are now a team of over 20 people. We are expanding our activities into a variety of fields, including the agriculture team, food education team, and cooking team, which run the cafeterias "Kama-ya" and "Kamapan & Store."

Let's cook and eat locally grown food.
"Eat and support local agriculture" to pass on local agriculture to the next generation.

We are now looking for new people to work with us as members of the Food Hub Project.

We are currently recruiting chefs, store staff, and processed food staff!

There are three main positions we are looking for this time.
The chef who will be in charge of the Kamaya restaurant will be the one who plans the daily menu, cooks in the restaurant, and leads the team. We are also looking for staff to be in charge of processed foods and the food store (Kamapan & Store).

~We want people like this to come~
  • A person with a lovely smile
  • Honest and open person
  • People who can create things through dialogue
  • People who are confident in their physical strength
  • Someone who can enjoy working and living together like family

We are looking for people who will join us in connecting the flavors of Kamiyama and building the future of the region. We are looking for people who will take on the challenge together through trial and error.

Three teams responsible for "eating and supporting"

The Food Hub Project is divided into three major departments and is engaged in a variety of activities.

  • Cultivation Division (Agriculture Team)
  • Eating Division (Cooking Team)
  • Food Education Section (Promotion Team)

The Cultivation Division (Agriculture Team) rents farmland and abandoned farmland scattered throughout Kamiyama Town through the Food Hub, and turns them into "Connecting Farms," where they grow a variety of crops, including rice, vegetables, wheat, and fruit. They also accept agricultural trainees and use the sites for various purposes, such as a production site, a place to think about agriculture, and a place for food education.

The Food Department (Cooking Team) runs Kamaya, a restaurant that uses plenty of locally grown produce, and Kamapan & Store, a bread and food shop. At the restaurant, you can enjoy the flavors of Kamiyama at any time of the day, from breakfast to lunch, teatime, and dinner. The Kamapan bread made by the two bakers has a unique flavor that can't be found anywhere else, and is also very popular at Monosas in Yoyogi. ( What is the "bread in the middle" made by these two creators? How Kamiyama's everyday bread is made ?)

The Food Education Department (Promotion Team) is involved in joint projects with local elementary and high schools, as well as developing processed foods using local ingredients.

About a year has passed since the project started in earnest, and the activities of each team have gradually taken root in the local community. However, our journey has only just begun. We are looking forward to welcoming new members and taking our first steps towards the next stage.

Please take a look at the application page on the Nihon Shigoto Hyakka website for detailed job descriptions and the thoughts of the members who support the efforts of the "Eating Department." We look forward to receiving your application.
