Looking back at the Monosas site from the MVP article
2017, Part 2

2017.12.27 | TOPICS | CULTURE

This is a regular feature where we look back on the year by introducing the "Monosasu Site Monthly MVP Articles." Following on from the first part , we would like to introduce the last six articles in the second half.

Before that, the Monosasu site published 243 articles this year. Excluding the editorial staff, the individual who wrote the most articles was representative Hayashi with 12 articles . He was followed by 9 articles (1 person), 6 articles (2 people), 5 articles (6 people), and so on, but almost all members appeared as writers.

However, our main job is web production, and even writing one article is a struggle. I am very grateful to the members who made time to write this article in addition to their regular work.

These are the MVP articles carefully selected from the "honest present" of each of these individuals. The second half has begun!

"The Eye of Drawing"
~The effectiveness of drawing from the perspective of the design field~

Published on 2017/06/21 Posted by Taku Kamimori

The top MVP of the second half was an article written by designer Uemori. Uemori pursues things deeply like a seeker. He has previously written articles from unique perspectives, such as the commonalities between breakdancing and design , and thinking about "good design" from the perspective of chocolate .

This is the third installment of the series, and it's about "drawings." The sketch that appears at the beginning was actually drawn by Kamimori. Kamimori laments that he was unable to use anything he studied diligently at art school at work, but he says that the "eye" he developed through drawing was useful.

Taku Uemori Kamimori

Even a simple square box can have a completely different impression depending on its size and texture. You can analyze what you see and think about whether it's because of its size or its texture.

Web design is a digital world, but Uemori's strength is that he thinks about and shapes "design" through his body. Uemori, who was called a " designer who keeps thinking " by his manager, is a quiet and deep MVP who dives into the river of thought with us.

~The road to Mouko Tanmen Nakamoto~

Published on 2017/07/07 Posted by Hiromi Yamanaka

The winner of the midsummer MVP award was a super-hot article that will make you sweat just by reading it. Yamanaka, who is a huge fan of "Mōko Tanmen Nakamoto," which claims to be the most delicious and spicy ramen in Japan, wrote this restaurant introduction with his overflowing emotions exploding.

"It's not just the act of eating ramen, it's a kind of 'battle'," "Don't slurp the noodles, bring them over!" "The moment I finished eating, I thought 'thank you' from the bottom of my heart."...A huge movement was sparked within the company by Nakamoto Ai's fierce and powerful performance. Yamanaka, who became an evangelist, said the following.

Hiromi Yamanaka In the mountains

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Nakamoto has enriched my life.

Her love for Mongolian tanmen has now reached the level of her life. Contrary to her pale, cool beauty, she makes some crazy statements, such as "I can't get enough of the nonstop sweat and numbness in my lips" and "I don't have any passion for work unless I'm busy," which knocks us out completely.

When I'm too busy at work to go to the restaurant, I can't help but bow down in admiration at the sight of him silently slurping down a bright red cup of noodles (Mongolian Tanmen, of course).

Affluent life = inconvenient life?
About spending money, wisdom and time

Published on 2017/08/01 Posted by Tomoko Nagai

This spring, our Vice President, Nagai, moved to Suo-Oshima in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The " Work and Life - Suo-Oshima " series gives us a glimpse into Nagai's journey to a new world, shrouded in mystery within the company. The article about Nagai's life choices, the satellite office expansion agreement, and his life on Suo-Oshima became the MVP.

Nagai loves eating out! She used to be the quintessential Tokyo woman, but she seems to have made a bold change, "cutting the grass instead of going to the gym" and "patrolling the fields instead of watching TV." The biggest change seems to be in her diet. The reason is the fresh produce she receives from her neighbors.

Tomoko Nagai Nagai

It was my first time seeing dark, uncooked seaweed, and I'd never actually experienced the disgusting, slimy texture of raw octopus.

Although he is intimidated by the idea of "raw ingredients," he seems to be beginning to appreciate the charms of rural life, with the effort and inconvenience involved, and the delicious taste that comes with it. Nagai says he wants to take on the challenge again as a worker, so what kind of "work and life" will he show us from now on? We're sure to keep our eyes peeled for next year.

Eliminate confusion and increase efficiency.
How to express yourself

Published on 2017/09/04 Posted by Aya Wada

The next MVP is the output technique compiled by Director Wada. Since he started working on multiple projects, he has been feeling more and more confused. What can he do to work efficiently without any trouble? That's where Wada's unique perspective comes in: he suggests devising ways to keep yourself in good shape, including in your private life.

Aya Wada Wada

It's difficult to keep your mind separate from your work and personal life, and having a clear head has a positive impact on both.

In the article, he introduces output techniques using three tools. He also perfectly records the embroidery that he is currently obsessed with. When you hear embroidery, you may imagine something elegant, but Wada is working on cross-stitching game characters. The squares of the fabric are like pixels, and when she completes the work without a single pixel moving, she feels a great sense of accomplishment. The high quality of the work has led to a constant stream of orders from gamers in the company.

A surprising way to learn Node.js using the command line

Published on 2017/10/12 Posted by Kim Dong-Gyu

Here comes the MVP, as you would expect from a web development company. The article was written by Kim, a coder who says that he finds the time he spends with new technology blissful. He introduced his own way of studying "Node.js," which is attracting attention in the industry.

Kim Dong-Gyu gold

Since the birth of Node, client-side engineers have been able to develop on the server without having to know any server-side languages.

Although he mentions it casually, this is actually a great thing. Web technology is divided into two parts: "client side" and "server side." The reason why Node.js is so popular is that Monosus's coders, who are engineers of the former, can now write in the same language on the latter server side!

Kin is excited about new technology. With a shy smile on his face, he says, "I think it would be fun if everyone could become friends with Commando," making you want to say, "Yes, I know!" He's an MVP brimming with love for technology.

Aerial photography is full of a man's romance!
Recommendations for drone beginners

Published on 2017/11/06 Posted by Taira Kawarazaki

The last article of 2017 is an MVP that will make your heart soar high into the sky. Kawarazaki, who is fascinated by drones that are a hot topic on the streets, introduced us to the drone flights he has been secretly active in. "Aerial photography is a man's romance," Kawarazaki says at the beginning of the article.

Taira Kawarazaki Kawarazaki

When I see scenes of natural wonders or hidden places being photographed from the air, I feel an indescribable sense of exhilaration.

Obsessed with the idea of flying, he persuaded his reluctant wife to buy him a drone. (It ended up putting off the purchase of a new washing machine... a man's dream is troublesome.) He went from east to west in search of a place where he could fly. He was itching to tell people about the fun of drones, and with a sparkle in his eyes, he finished the article at the fastest possible speed.

This passionate article is packed with Kawarazaki's "honest present," and it makes you feel like the origin of the Monosas site. It's an MVP full of positive energy that makes you think the new year will be a good one.

What did you think? Looking back, I think there were many articles that exuded individual character. Yoyogi, Osaka, Kamiyama, Suo-Oshima, and Thailand. In each place, we marked the scale of our own ruler one by one. We call this way of being the verb "monosasu."

A collection of various rulers used by people who use rulers.

Next year too, we will all continue to update the Monosasu site's "Daily Calendar."
Thank you all for your continued support in 2018!

Monosus Site Team

How to create good blood circulation with members and other people involved? How can we deepen our relationships to do better work? While thinking about this, we introduce the people and work of Monosus. The secretariat has approximately five members. I love eating a lot.
